Re: Building Lexington Belle Q2 with Henley 43Jun 06, 2015 4:58 pm I have done my 2nd colour appointment and i am now happy but do let me know if someone thinks that i am going wrong in any way. I wont mind as i am actually looking for different options but this is what i have chosen as of now. Now waiting to see prices for everything i have upgraded on tender which is on 18th of this month. I may add of delete a few things, depending on the prices. I am also confused about front entry door. Our entry is huge. its 2.2m and the 2 options are either 1 single pivot door like this - Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ gif uploader or a double door by using 2 of these: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ image hosting free I have been told that double doors are $1000 cheaper. not sure what to do with this. Re: Building Lexington Belle Q2 with Henley 44Jun 06, 2015 5:36 pm I like the choices, the browns will add a bit of warmth I think. As for the door - I'm a big fan of big pivot doors and think they have more of an impact.. a 1200mm wide door is massive, and it'll get noticed on it's own with a sidelight. But it all comes down to personal preferences too and what's left in the budget. Nice colors..... Is your splashback light color too ? Its all personal choices but in my opinion a darker color splashback with light benchtop will be more eye catchy. Also darker color will need less cleaning. In my opinion double doors look more grand and wide. Re: Building Lexington Belle Q2 with Henley 48Jun 06, 2015 5:56 pm Dreamz9 May be bit darker tone in splashback say matching your cabinets or flooring. Flooring is also tiling same as parchment colour in the pic. 600*600 in size. The henley's interior designer advised for light splashback because of very dark cupboards above. Only thing i would suggest to look for is that they are not too high otherwise would be too difficult to open. Opening them would still be manageable but real hassle would be closing them once open. Cheers You are absolutely right. I didn't think about it. I am going to email my admin to know the height. I think it will be alright because there a bulkhead as well and the ceiling height is 2570. But, i will confirm this for sure. Thanks a lot Building Lexington Belle Q1 With Henley in Merrifield, Mickleham. viewtopic.php?t=77094 Getting There.... Re: Building Lexington Belle Q2 with Henley 56Jun 06, 2015 8:31 pm I agree about the cupboards, they look great, but you'd want to have a step ladder handy. My partner wouldn't be able to reach that high, so we opted for the standard. You can have someone tell you their opinions and how to do things, but at the end of the day, you have to live with it and be happy with it. If it's what you like, then go for it. Every person will have different taste and opinions. They're still fairly neutral colours, so I don't think it'd effect resale or the value at all, and would appeal to most still. Personally I'm not a fan of all white kitchens, but if you've got the top darker, you've already broken up the scheme and added enough to break the kitchen up, so I think it'll look good. Even some all white kitchens can look quite nice if done properly.. for example: http://www.houzz.com.au/photos/15444640 ... -melbourne Sign up and have a look on houzz.com.au for some examples too, there's tonnes of photos and colour schemes for inspiration. Obviously Snyde, I will do whatever i like but the advice here is perfect. Now Dreamz9 saved us from that cupboards problem. I am really thankful to you guys. Why everyone is saying white kitchen, its not white. Its parchment colour and its almost cream. isn't it? Look at this image below. the difference is just that it will be glossy Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ free image host Also, I have to decide that should i use "Seductive Limba Glossy" at the rear of the island bench as well or not? because i am thinking of going with this same parchment colour for my floor tiles. Building Lexington Belle Q2 with Henley 60Jun 07, 2015 3:32 pm Hey YD, I've got Parchment White Gloss for our under bench cupboards/drawers. And a similar colour for overhead cupboards but a natural finish. We've also used this for the rear of our island bench. We chose self destruct as our splashback. Here's a couple of pics to give you an idea of what it looks like (without splashback).
