Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 44Sep 08, 2015 5:31 pm We are doing our own soil removal. Homestead quoted us $5400 which is ridiculous! I've gotten quotes for approx $3000 and less! We are also doing our own insulation, fixing and flushing and electrical as my husband has his own Gyprocking business and a good friend has an electrical business. Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 46Sep 14, 2015 10:46 pm Nice twin skylights, are u getting electric blinds for them? U guys weren't talking to a lady (from homestead) at Gawler ?threeish weeks back I took some photo of the roof skylights lifetooshorttodrinkbadcoffee Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 47Sep 14, 2015 10:51 pm Thanks coffeemad. We had to have them due to insufficient light and ventilation. They are remote opening and closing and will automatically close when it rains if we forget. We have paid the extra to have blinds. Only because it's a home theatre and it'll be annoying watching a movie with the light beaming in. Wasn't us! Apparently those blinds are expensive! Ours are remote roller blinds. Now it goes to Homesteads private certifier for building rules and development approval which they estatimate will take 3-4 weeks. During this time we do our final internal selections and WALLA - build!!! Cant wait to see it. Im so worried that because we have custom plans and haven't been able to see it in a show home, that I wont like it, or the family area isn't big enough or I should have done this, or done that! EEEEEK!! Building a modified version of The Sandridge through Homestead Homes. Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 49Sep 18, 2015 10:38 pm Great news PASandridge with the building consent!!! We are still stuck in council. They have asked for us to flip our plan, which lead to us needing to move or make a telecommunications pit trafficable - ridiculous cost. We have finally got all our revised plans and engineering two days ago and resubmitted to council. *feeling meh* 2015 5 June:Land settled 21 Oct: Planning consent granted 2016 28 Jan: Development approval issued 25 Feb: Foundation prep begins Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 50Sep 18, 2015 10:46 pm Oh gosh. I've been studying Pinterest as if my life depended on it to work out colour schemes for the kitchen and bathroom vanities so we are prepared for the remaining selections in the next coming weeks Building a modified version of The Sandridge through Homestead Homes. Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 53Sep 18, 2015 11:05 pm I think white/latte/choc combo works better with your bathroom tiles? I have always find it really difficult to visualize. One software I find helpful for the visualization program on National Tiles website. They might not have the exact tile but usually have something close enough 2015 5 June:Land settled 21 Oct: Planning consent granted 2016 28 Jan: Development approval issued 25 Feb: Foundation prep begins Re: Playford Alive build - Homestead Sandridge 54Nov 10, 2015 1:30 pm Building a modified version of The Sandridge through Homestead Homes.
