Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 41Mar 20, 2012 2:52 pm He's a semi reliable source...... seemed to know a heap of what was happening about school build/opening etc It wont be like Narrellan, for the look of the Master Paln the shopping complex will strech across 2 big blocks with a street down the centre which I assume will be for restuarants, cafes, etc I'd expect whoever is building the complex to maybe link both side's with an overhead bridge type thing. I tried to have a look for the plans on the Camden Council site but not up for public comment from what I could see. Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 42Mar 21, 2012 12:37 pm I know definitely that woolies will be there. Was driving around Oran park the other day, i notice some of the blocks out there are so small! Some people dont even have any backyards? Obviously there are no setback limits from landcom? I thought normally landcom are pretty strict. Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 44Mar 21, 2012 3:55 pm I can confirm there are some a heap of Landcom guidelines that have to be followed, 4.5m setback included. I guess you need to remember that most blocks in Oran Park are 30 metres deep so with a 22 metre home and the setback you end up with 3.5 to your rear fence. If I did't get a 32 deep block i would have had to build a double or go elsewhere Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 45Apr 12, 2012 8:29 pm What is everyones rainwater tank size? Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 47Apr 16, 2012 1:30 pm I wonder if it is the bigger the house the bigger the rainwater tank? Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 48May 14, 2012 4:21 pm How is everyone going with their build? started yet? ![]() Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 50May 14, 2012 8:06 pm yeh i know, i saw that and i was like woah! so where you guys up to? Our plans just got approved so hopefully it wont be too long! Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 51May 15, 2012 9:12 am still at external colour selection stage. It's been tough trying to select colours that go well together! how long were your plans in council for? Did you have to change or add anything? Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 52May 15, 2012 10:05 am Our plans took about 3-4 weeks to be approved so that's ok, we had to make one of the windows upstairs bigger to comply with the construction certificate. You guys building a double or single storey? Re: Who is building at Harrington Grove? 54May 15, 2012 11:11 am If you're building a single storey it will be even quicker, probably only 2 weeks! We're building a double storey, who did you guys end up going with?
