Is this the same colour you chose? If yes, what manufacturer and colour are they? Hi aldavies, The display house in Lara is really nice. It is the bigger version than ours. The floors are Spotted Gum. We are having the same. We have Nyotah floors at our present house and spotted gum is very similar. DFH use as far as I know use: utf.com.au Kay A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. Love the choice of tiles you have picked, it's going to look very flash! May I ask how much you paid for your land when you purchased last year? It seems to have gone up alot! Hi Flagstaff, I stalk other threads all the time, so no problem for you or anyone else to stalk me. Thanks for the kind comments. The tiles were a last minute change of mind. I'm so pleased I changed them as I wouldn't have been happy with the original choices. I'll PM you the other info. Kay A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. There are a few errors, but was told when we sign this one all the fixes will be variations to the contract but no charge to us for these. This way they can send off the contract to council and then to developer for approval. Makes the process quicker. Don't worry, we will be keeping a close eye on the fixes. We hope to go in on Wednesday to sign it all. Kay A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. We went to our contract signing with all the changes and questions written down and it took two lots of variations to get all the changes through. They were pretty good with the process though. Enjoy it! Enjoy it! I have already typed out a long list of corrections to the contract and the added extras we still want. So no doubt like you we will have a 2nd lot of variations once they give us prices for the new stuff. We still have our electricals to do so that will be a nightmare. We go on Wednesday to sign. Our garage is 40cm wider than our estate requirements, but we are hoping they might let it through. Kay A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. All in all it isn't too bad. I will go through the plans again though. Even went back down to Lara yesterday to have another look through the display house. Could just about move in there as we seem to be there so often. Kay A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. I ended up taking photos of the display, so I didn't have to go back as often, lol Barbs Re: Carter’s-DFH Charlton 291- Contract signed 21/7 54Jul 22, 2010 7:39 am Hi All, We went in yesterday to go through any changes to our contract and sign it all. 5 hours later it's a done deal. Thought we would never get through it all. We did electricals with the sales rep as well. No doubt it will cost a fortune, but it's done now so too bad. DH will just have to work a few more years than he'd like. I've retired so I don't care. Hehe. He'll get over it eventually. Now we just have to wait for the working drawings and variations to be done and approved by us and then I think they will go off for developers and councils approval. So maybe late August or September start. At long last it is starting to all come together. I'm not impatient for the start though it will be good when it does. If this is right that explains why we are patient. We also have built 3 and now to start 4th. Gluttons for punishment I'm told. I've tried to read your thread but I lose the plot with so much going on in there. I'm not sure where there is a gap for me to jump in with a comment or two. Maybe I need to get pushy. You are such a busy lady. Maybe when (soon I hope for your sake) I'll get a word in on your thread. LOL Kay A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. I hope it all comes together quickly for you. Good on you for getting the electricals done now, we wanted to, but fell off our chair when told the price I think now we should have just included it. I remember when we built our first house, I was at the display houses every weekend (and they didn't even have our design built there). Actually, in all 3 houses we have built, we have never walked through the design. Also, it looks like we will be building around the same time too Hope it all goes well for you.
