What images do you want bigger? any in particular or do you just want all the ones from now on bigger. Yeah we have natural mortar we didnt want it to be any lighter. We have yet to decide the color above the windows as we have only just realised that we did not choose it in our color selection they had n/a written in there, were not sure why this has happened but we will choose a color asap.... any suggestions on what color we should choose??? Just the ones from now on, please. Maybe the same color as the window frame, although I have seen them painted different colors to the window frame and fascia/gutters and they did look quite good. Re: Our Little Home (Caraway) Photo Heavy 44Dec 28, 2009 12:44 am Hope that everyone had a great christmas.... well all work has stoped now for over the holiday period and we are unsure when work will start again but i am guessing just after the new year as we were talking to our building supervisor the other day and he said that we shud be in the house by the end of FEBRUARY.... OMG!!!! We were expecting to be in around april but it is going to be a bit earlier than that which is fantastic... We have also organised our first walk through so we will be going through the house for the first official time even tho we have snuck into the house just about everytime we have gone out.... Is there anything in particular that i should be looking out for at this stage of building during the walk through??? Anyway the progress before they finished for the holidays is that we got all our cabinets in.... Im sorry that the photos are not great quality it was getting a little dark but the laminex is a light grey..... You'll be in before we even start It's looking fab, the kitchen will be beautiful when you get that black benchtop in. Not long now Re: Our Little Home (Caraway) Photo Heavy 49Dec 30, 2009 10:16 pm trav Looking good Quick question, how many powerpoints do you have in the kitchen ? We have two double power points on the top of the floating bench and then we have one for the dishwasher, one for the microwave, one for the oven, one for the fridge, one double power point in the pantry, and then one double power point above the bench near the oven. They have already done so much work since they have been back after the holiday break and they haven't even been back a week yet... We have had the skirting and arcs are done, internal doors are hung, air con is installed, plaster is sanded down ready for the painters to come in on Monday. But one thing that we have realised is that we are not sure if they have accounted enough space on our roof to put our hot water system solar panels and our ones to run our electricity as our air con is on the same side. he said he will talk to the electrician and hopefully they can still fit there... we have a fair bit of roof space but they have put the air con in the middle of the roof..... All of our water main issues have been resolved and we have chosen a new place for our front tap and our main will be placed under a metal cap in our driveway, which I am happy with.... Will put photos up once my camera charges it always seems to go flat at the worst time. I think that no matter what builder you go through you are going to have little hick ups but im very happy with everything so far and hope it continues for the next few months and that we do not have too many more hick ups..... I love watching other people who are using the same builder and I just hope I don't hear any real bad stories. lol We chose Musket Haze in the end we also loved ironstone but we are glad we didn't choose it as the house across the road has that brick... I like the front windows. From the inside it looks like they have winders, do they wind out? I didn't know you could get tall wind out windows like that. Yes they are wind out windows... i love the fact that they are in our master bedroom. the only problem with wind out windows is that you have to reach right down to the bottom to open them up but they look so good that i don't really mind Emily and James.....Building with J G King Caraway 145- Our Beautiful First Little Home Site Cut Started on 13th of October 2009 Re: Our Little Home (Caraway) Photo Heavy 60Jan 12, 2010 8:28 am Felistopher Yay guys- February finish- that's awesome!
