Hope something happens soon... At this rate, we'll end up with our build happening at the same time!
I'm sure once everything gets sorted out with the title, it will all be full steam ahead. Still, doesn't make the waiting any easier...

Because our builder is small he usually has people in their house within 3 months, so fingers crossed the land doesn't take too much longer because the build itself will fly by, I'm sure ::smile::

The land has made it through VCAT ::lol::

Still has to go to the titles office, but at least we've made it over one hurdle - only one more to go :z:

So (and I'm sure developers across the country will be proud of me saying this)... it really might be only a couple of weeks until it settles!!

Well, I'm eating my own words here :lol:

I just found an email from our conveyancer that says she highly doubts that the land will settle before the end of Feb. So I'll just add a couple more weeks to my previously predicted 'couple of weeks' and hope that the land will settle some time in March. I'll be a very happy girl if that happens

The good news is that once the land does settle, it sounds like your builder will be quick so hopefully your overall time may be the same as some peoples actual builds, if that makes any sense! ::wornout::

Makes perfect sense :wink:

And it's true - I hadn't really thought about it but I suppose if we're in about 12 months after we signed our land contracts that that is a fairly average length of time :th:

I don't really have much of an update. The land still hasn't been lodged with the titles office, but the developer's solicitor is taking them in next week, then it "should" only take 10 days for the titles to be issued - the developer, his solicitor and our solicitor are all in agreeance that an early to mid March settlement is not only possible, but very likely :z:
