We were initially quoted 85l/m (lineal metres) in our tender. When the engineers report came back, it was suggested we increase that to 110l/m. So we added an extra $1625 in our tender to cover the piering. This equates to $65 per lineal metre, which I think is the standard cost across Beechwood. As you may have read earlier, first-home101 are going to be up for $3k plus because of the extra lineal metres (ouch, that is a big out of pocket cost for you first home )
I've said this before and I'll say it again, put something aside for this in your provisional costs...just in case.
