Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3901Aug 04, 2017 10:30 pm Okay - I have just spent three days reading every single post on this thread. A few things.... 1. Weirdly after I started reading it I realised you were from Lismore. I grew up in Lismore, my parents still live there but I moved up to QLD. I found it really weird as that wasn't why I started reading your thread! 2. You need to make this thread into a novel - I couldn't stop reading and I have told my husband and girls at work all about it! 3. Your poor, poor thing. Your build process has been insane. I think you have so much strength for not losing it and attacking the so called site supervisor and the dude who thinks he is the manager of the franchise....to manage means you actually have to do something 🙄🙄🙄 However - I am so happy to see your amazing progress now!!! Your house is beautiful and you are really on the home stretch!!!! We started looking at land and building last December. We found land and then found a builder and waited for land to register. Once land was registered and settled our builder started on site - it was about two weeks between settlement and site start. We are now end of Week 2 and have a slab down.....basically what I'm saying is I just can't even fathom how on earth you have held it together. You deserve a medal!!! I sincerely hope you are going to leave a scathing review!!!!!!! I will be following along now because I need to see you get your happily ever after!!!! Oh and by the way your MIL sounds like mine 🐂🐂🐂🐂🐂 First Home Owners and Builders - building Zara29 with Metricon in 2017. I'm sure once we're are in and settle reading through my thread will crack me up I also read your entire thread a couple of months back when we started out journey. Strangely we've not made much progress, but our survey is back and house is getting sited on our land so hopefully will be ready for CDC in a couple of weeks or so. I think I started just before all your recent fast works started, it had been ages with almost nothing done. So glad to see you've made so much progress since then and on the home stretch now. Also - lots of great pendant lights 😆 Meanwhile since I started I haven't been able to get the stupid GJ song out of my head and I absolutely hate them now. Don't worry I have told everyone I know about your experience. Am kicking myself for not going with a similar bathroom cupboard laminate- I picked one similar originally and my mum sat there shaking her head so I chickened out and went for a light grey that has been giving me anxiety ever since haha. Yours looks great, and the tiles are perfect! Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3912Aug 05, 2017 2:24 pm Tiles look awesome! I love dark! We wanted dark stone in the ensuite but when essa stone changed it clashed with our dark tiles.
