Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 381Mar 03, 2015 1:33 pm I called the council and spoke to a greg. He basically said that the council have some inspectors out this week to ensure the work on the lake is up to their standards and if all ok vpa will be signed and we can move forward. I asked how long does it take council to register the land once all works are completed and he said he couldn't say exactly because it depends if cornish have put paperwork In to land titles office etc but it should only be a few days/weeks Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 382Mar 03, 2015 2:06 pm if we know the DA number we can ask the land titles office but i dont think the cornish group will hand that over smoothly. Fingers crossed they have done enough work to this lake!!!! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 383Mar 03, 2015 2:23 pm Good work Riverside dreamin. As Parkview commented, will be keeping fingers and toes crossed that enough has been done so this VPA can get signed off. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 384Mar 05, 2015 10:52 am Parkview_rs i sent you a private message up_springfarm_creek thanks just sent them an email up_springfarm_creek without a paddle Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 385Mar 05, 2015 1:29 pm just this from Ron from Camden Council from which I get the understanding that if Cornish have completed the required works for the VPA then land registration can happen as Cornish will not be required to make any payments to council, the works required by the VPA are in lieu of any land tax payments required by previous stages Quote: Dear Aaron, Thank you for your email regarding the Cornish Spring Farm VPA. Council has been working with the developer toward an execution of the VPA in a timely manner. I can inform you that the developer has only satisfied his obligations as recently as this Wednesday afternoon (25 February). Execution of the VPA is now imminent. The purpose of a VPA is in essence an agreement that allows Council to release the land upon agreed works being performed by the Developer. The release of Lots in Stage 40 is dependent on certain dam reconstruction work. I could send you an email when execution occurs and I am always happy to discuss the VPA if you have any further questions. up_springfarm_creek without a paddle Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 386Mar 05, 2015 3:01 pm and email response from Colin from Cornish in response to my email about the VPA Quote: We are still waiting for the VPA Aaron, should be real soon. Hang in there mate, hopefully by the end of next week & if not send me another email. Cheers Col up_springfarm_creek without a paddle Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 387Mar 05, 2015 5:24 pm Colin told me when I emailed him last week that it would be this week and now it's next week. His got no Idea!! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 388Mar 05, 2015 7:40 pm Another week or two, for about 12mths, is standard from Colin...not surprised! He will tell you another week or two until he's blue in the face because that's really all he seems to get paid for! Pathetic! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 389Mar 05, 2015 8:26 pm Let's hope this does not go on for another 12 months, otherwise we'll be the ones going all blue in the face and then some!! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 390Mar 05, 2015 8:44 pm Yeah I think everyone thought these stages would be on time mid last year but it sucks everybody is still twiddling their thumbs waiting for registration like nine months later and still no firm idea! Same old flaky timeline playing out as usual which turns all their clients' lives upside down...they don't seem to learn and they clearly don't care about their reputation, just money. Good that council seem to be responding to enquiries but they're used to dealing with it by now unfortunately. Just remember, Colin has had several years practice at dealing with hundreds of purchasers and feeding them with misleading timelines and empty promises...all the while knowing the complete opposite is true. "I've got a lot in this stage" - he's had one in every street of that place by now! "It's been raining" - what for two years?! "Another two weeks" - you've said that for 18mths! "it's all with council" - but they haven't even received anything from you! "Council have really screwed us" - we pay increasing rates too mate, it's life! "My CEO says it'll be another week at the most" - who cares, your CEO has no people or customer service skills and just treats highly paying customers like dirt! And the list of excuses goes on. He's very good at it and he's after his commission at the end of the day so it doesn't matter to him. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 391Mar 05, 2015 9:06 pm Looks like we are all on a train ride heading nowhere at the moment. Just hope this doesn't turn into a train crash...........we all want to get off real soon unscathed!!!!!! Just want this damn land registered Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 392Mar 05, 2015 9:18 pm Very true! Bring it on! Someone over in stage 44 is bailing out prior to registration... http://www.realestate.com.au/property-residential land-nsw-spring+farm-201123139 Figured it's not worth the wait! Even selling wouldn't generate much profit now with capital gains tax and the cost to start again! Good luck to them, hope it sells! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 393Mar 05, 2015 9:29 pm Hey Riverside 24, I was on realestate.com.au and saw the same ad by Combined Real Estate. Did you read the bit where they say registration only a few short months away.......where did they get that information from? yeah right!!!! Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 394Mar 05, 2015 9:34 pm Haha yeah well considering its a brand new listing, they're obviously not counting on anything happening in the next few weeks! Combined know about the history of delays in the area, they're very experienced in the region. They have to mention that it's unregistered somehow so it's better to make a positive statement for the sake of the listing! They are just doing there job I guess, being the true diplomats that they usually are. Like you said earlier, good luck to them, I hope they get a good result. Re: Spring Farm Riverside *Stage 42 - Ridgeview* 396Mar 06, 2015 1:02 pm Land update. They have now gone through and planted a bunch of trees in front of each block. I was there too around 1:30pm. I also went for a drive around Spring Farm Drive and there seems to be a bit more work completed around the lake, such as more walkways and some lights. Not sure though if they will complete our land works by the 9th March as outlined in Colin's email back in December.
