Re: Building in EVE Estate 388Oct 24, 2010 2:19 pm Eve Dweller 20k. Ouch. What detail of landscaping are you looking at? two levels at the front with nice block stone. pebbles at the front and down the side with paving stones and turf laid at the back with retaining walls, approx 2 weeks work. Re: Building in EVE Estate 389Oct 25, 2010 10:15 am nzkiwi01 it would be great if you can get it done...will save many a weekend out in the yard......... I was quoted 27k for mine ... needless to say I decided to do it myself, over time, using cheaper materials (really wanted to use liquid limestone but cheapest i could find was $130sqM)... and im still going 12months down the track (would have spent about 6k so far) and i would say another 2-4k to go and Im a tight ar$e.. so i can see 20k easily being the ballpark figure to get someone in to do the lot. Re: Building in EVE Estate 391Oct 25, 2010 3:40 pm Going for a walk through on Thursday with our site Manager so he can see if we are happy with the finished product, at this stage we are not as some of the paint needs touching up we will do a careful inspection again but at this stage its thumbs down, if he does what we ask then we should be getting the keys about the 8th of November, fingers crossed. Always going to be paint touch ups.... and you may even cause a few of your own on moving in day so make sure they leave you some leftover paint Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 393Oct 28, 2010 2:59 pm Just got back from our walk through and things are looking good, the inspectors have been through and put little Red Dots everythere and now they are going to do the touch ups, but some cok sucking arse hole has pinched our water meters, hey Humpys I think someone has pinched yours. And thats a very bright Pink! Re: Building in EVE Estate 398Oct 31, 2010 8:41 am Thank you Eve Dweller!! Yes we hope so too.. Hehe.. I guess being new to this site i was playing around with all the options and thought id make it a bit colourful.. I think it may be harder to read in pink though as pretty as it is..so think i might just stick to black and keep my signature the pretty bright pink colour.. Love pink!! nzkiwi, hows the Landscaping coming along? Did you find it cheaper anywhere els? Is that how much it will cost just for the front in a small section or for the whole front or is that the cost for both back and front yards combined? Sounds like this will be an expensive part of the whole process.. I guess we will have to start thinking how much all this will cost too and work it into our budget.. I was thinking it may be around the $10k not as high as that though.. any advice would be great!! __________________________ Our Castle.. We got a few quotes from professional Landscapers prices from 25k -17k that is for the front the side and the back, approx two weeks work, we thought 10k would be enough also but we were wrong, my mate done his place and its looks good so we have him doing ours for a lesser cost, the price of the meterials is the big money spend 10k just for the basic, a little bit more if you want it to look good and last.
