Hi all,
We are just under 3 weeks away from our completion and have started looking into the telstra velocity rates/plans. Was wondering what you had to connect to in order to get the $1500 rebate?? Can you only connect internet or do you need to connect both internet and home phone? I think i remember reading somewhere that you need to connect to both to be eligible? Can anyone confirm this or has anyone only connected internet and received the rebate?
One more question on the internet speed...
We were looking at the Velocity Rate Card... http://www.telstra.com.au/smartcommunity/assets/velocity-rate-card.pdf
Are the turbo liberty speeds fast/ fast enough or is it worth upgrading to the elite liberty plan?
Thanks in advance

Hi Leiper,
I believe you need to take out 2 services (eg: Phone, Internet or Foxtel) to receive the rebate of $1500. If unsure call Telstra Smart Community on 1800 008 994 and enquire..
I have the Turbo Liberty & it seems fast enough for me.
If you go with the Torbo Liberty & feel it is not fast enough you can upgrade to the Elite Liberty at no charge. You can also change your internet plan once a month at no charge, either go higher or lower..
Hope it helped.
You need to have a phone connected to get the internet, so I was told. We have the Turbo Liberty and it is superfast... I wouldnt upgrade to the Elite unless you have to... dont forget they put you under contract for 12 months and you can always upgrade, you cant downgrade.
I figured you'd need the phone on to get internet anyway. Looks like we all have been told different things. I have been told you can upgrade or downgrade your plan once a month at no charge.. & it does not affect the contract at all.. Stupid Telstra never know whats going on & tell everyone different things...
