It was the only choice at the time that had dark grey window frames as we didnt want black or beige. For internal we went with the cottelsoe. I'm only a single looking to buy so budget isn't very large Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3491Feb 02, 2016 4:31 pm My daughter is building SE Suburbs in Clyde North and they are paying $339,000 but the ironic thing is their house is about $6,000 dearer than my 4 bedroom house I'm building lol
There land is only about 260m2 Think the actual house cost is $196,000 Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3493Feb 02, 2016 6:04 pm We paid 213,000 for the abode22 in Yarra Glen. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3494Feb 04, 2016 11:26 am Hi Jane610, So does that mean u can pay the initial $3000 to secure the house and land and then come up with the 5% before land settles? we are thinking of purchasing a block in Pakenham which titles in august, does that mean we don't have to come up with the 5% until that time? sorry just so confused! its exciting but so many things to research etc! The way the low deposit works is you have to have the 5% in your account for a minimum of 3 months and it's got to be in there when you apply for the mortgage. For example if land was to title in August your mortgage guy will most probably start application in June so this is when you will need your 5%. I know an excellent mortgage guy, he did mine and my daughters low deposit. He bends over backwards to help you and nothing's too much trouble. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3496Feb 04, 2016 11:44 am Thanks Alleypally, if you don't mind me asking what do you mean by low deposit? that's where we are at at the moment. we are hoping to put a deposit on land and then come up with the rest of the 5% by the time they require it before settlement just so we know its all locked in, we don't have the full 5% at the moment so are thinking the best and quickest way we can get the ball rolling whilst saving out butts off! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3497Feb 04, 2016 11:50 am Low deposit is the $3k to lock in the contracts but like I said you will need the whole 5% in your account for minimum 3 months before applying for your mortgage Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3498Feb 04, 2016 2:49 pm I've got to say I'm nervous. Our upgrade budget has just been slashed due to having our daughter's drink bottle leaking all through her bag and ruining her brand new laptop (she had been using it for just 5 days!) Soon we have our meeting and now I'll reeeally need to prioritise our spending. I guess we can always do some things once we move in. @Zelda5 We were just told to have our 5% saved before land settlement. We are trying to save more though. I am so anxious, really hoping things go to plan this year! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3500Feb 04, 2016 2:59 pm Jane610 I've got to say I'm nervous. I am so anxious, really hoping things go to plan this year! We couldn't even apply for our mortgage until the funds had been in there for three months so we could prove it was "genuine savings." The true "low deposit $3000" option is only available when you have someone go guarantor on your mortgage - so good for young couples who have a financially secure enough mum or dad prepared to risk their home. For everyone else the $3000 just secures the house and land. I havent, and i havent looked to much into it, but on face value its not the saviour its trying to make out to be. My take on this is, that they would be breaking the law denying access to a homeowner in Victoria, or their agent from having… 1 10215 |
