Given they usually only have the risers in for downpipes it seems weird. Hope you are enjoying your new house Hi CBPH We had an extra riser at each down pipe section for future drainage due to site cut on that side of house Looks like someone has broken them off and covered them over to cover their as$ The one I found they would have just pushed back into ground to make it look like all is good Im happy that Carlisle fixed the problem but the thing is it should never had happened as I have been telling SS about this for a cpl months and he told me the plumber had capped the risers that were missing And yes we love our house will post some pics in the next cpl days Got a call from Carlisle they want to come out and re-camera all our storm water to check the repaires. A bit late now that its under 150sqm of concrete Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3430Nov 03, 2012 7:19 am Hi everyone, We received our final documentation today and in the building variation, it states the owner has to provide concrete/stone retaining wall (for the front part of the house) due to developer's requirement. In building contract, the builder was supposed to be providing sleeper retaining wall and in the PCV, it also states that site costs is fixed and Carlisle Homes will be absorbing any additional costs if there are any changes. Seems to me that CH is now not honouring their contract and PCV and wants to pass the additional cost to me. Also, they knew about this since Aug but have not communicated this to me. Not a good start to the building. Has anyone the same experience? If yes, it would be appreciated if you can share how you dealt with CH. Thanks heaps, msy Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3431Nov 03, 2012 8:42 am Quick update, framing is complete and roof is on, I'm happy with the progression. I had a pre-frame inspection with New Home Inspections. They picked up 7 defects that 6 have since been corrected. There was a slab issue, but that is scheduled for its fix this week. (Posted the inspection report on the blog of anyone is interested to see what they get for their money) - I found it worthwhile. I will be having them complete a pre-plaster inspection, where they will also review the corrections completed on the frame stage. Mine is having concrete pouring this week. May I have a look at your report, please? Thanks. I would like to know also if possible please. Thank you Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3438Nov 18, 2012 10:04 pm Anyone who had an independent home inspection, can I ask who do you inform about you wanting to have the inspection. Is it your SS or CLE? Do you have to write in to them or just tell over the phone? Thanks. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3439Nov 18, 2012 10:09 pm it needs to be mutually scheduled with the inspector and your SS. In my case, I notified my SS and CLE that the inspections would be happening. The SS then gave me the date that would be appropriate, I would go to the home inspector and advise of them of the date.
