I haven't seen any updates recently. I don't think my alerts are working. So much to do! Need to come up with a list of things to do over the next few weeks. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Fixing Stage - Photos Ga 343Dec 13, 2016 8:13 pm Well done Dawn, nearly there ....I do love your white kitchen ( my kitchen is white too) it is very good to have a sink next to window. It will be nice to have some green plants on the fence opposite to kitchen window. Very happy for you and looking forward to see more pics too. viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Fixing Stage - Photos Ga 344Dec 13, 2016 8:38 pm aloenyx ^_^; How is your build going? I haven't seen any updates recently. I don't think my alerts are working. So much to do! Need to come up with a list of things to do over the next few weeks. My build has slowed down this month as there isn't much left to do & the ss said that practical completion will happen in Jan (which suits me fine) Haha sure is a lot to do! I've got a list of things i need to organise for my new house. First things i get will be light globes, mail box & house numbers. Tried to get globes from masters a couple of months back but they had bugger all left by then. The rest i'll do as i can afford them. I've also started packing too. I've had to ask my bf to save all his newspapers so i can use them for packing my breakables (cos i don't buy papers myself). Oh and house number, my builder is putting in my letter box, not sure if that includes a mail box. I think my light globes are included. But. yeah, I think I need to start a list. My mum and dad are helping me with landscaping, etc, so they have some plans for the order in which that all needs to happen.. going to be a few busy months! The main bathroom vanity is flat. Any ideas? I expected them to be the same. Do you think it might mean a protruding basin in the en suite? I hope not.. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Fixing Stage - Photos Ga 347Dec 14, 2016 5:49 pm Coming together really quickly now. Will your laundry door get the afternoon sun? Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81011 Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Fixing Stage - Photos Ga 348Dec 14, 2016 6:09 pm Mhm, I think so. My laundry is north facing. Front (master) is west facing, living/dining is east facing, and other bedrooms are south facing. Unfortunately I'm very closed in by neighbors and fences.. These photos were taken about 10am on Tuesday, was hot but pretty grey.. so I think the light will be okay Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Fixing Stage - Photos Ga 350Dec 14, 2016 6:28 pm The rental we were in the laundry was like an oven with sliding door, hung thick blockout drapes in there, which made a bit of difference. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Fixing Stage - Photos Ga 355Dec 19, 2016 4:52 pm Status Report The builder is now shutdown until the 16th of January, so unlikely to be any updates going on at the house (but you never know). Possibly painting may occur over the shutdown period. I'm waiting on quotes from the builder on concreting and front fence, though not expecting them until next year. I've received confirmation that the Fixing Stage invoice has been paid. One more stage to go until the house is completed. Approx 10 weeks till move in! I am beyond excited and super happy with the progress of my build. This is currently week 13 of the build, which means 11 weeks from permits to completed Fixing stage. Can not speak highly enough of my builder, the build has been so smooth and I'm really impressed with the quality of the house. I'm definitely looking forward to 2017 and my new house! While the house is locked up over Xmas, I'm turning my attention to everything else I need to do before I move... and there's a lot to do!!! So the next few weeks will be spent shopping, getting quotes, putting things on order and generally running around like a crazy person. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 356Dec 21, 2016 8:12 pm Argh! Can't find any furniture I like... I found a couch I love, and that's about it!! I need to find a bed and TV unit... and a hall table, kitchen stools .. but nothing is appealing to me. How did you find furniture you liked? Any suggestions? Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 357Dec 23, 2016 6:31 pm Everybody has ran away and left me ;; Going to see the house tomorrow. Not really expecting any changes from 2 weeks ago, but you never know!! Also going furniture shopping.. yay!!! Starting to stockpile boxes of stuff now, this week bought some soapnuts, pegs, and glasses. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 358Dec 23, 2016 7:09 pm Not everyone has deserted you Post-Christmas sales might be ideal for furniture (& other things house) shopping. Hopefully you can find stuff you like/need. I really need to get a new bed frame, the one i've got is not very well made and creeks & groans whenever i roll over. The screws keeping it together keep coming loose. i don't dare do anything in it with my bf in case it collapses underneath us Unfortunately i have to put up with this one for quite a while longer as i need to spend money on getting other things done around the house. Def won't be buying another bed from fantastic furniture. House-wise things on my house have come to a halt for the chrissy break. Should start up again in the 2nd week of Jan. By rights it should look different on the Floor Plan to the bathroom vanity, and is usually done as a space saver as they only need about 300mm of bench depth compared to 450mm with a normal drop in basin I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 16371 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 18012 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 12467 |
