Re: Building in EVE Estate 344Oct 07, 2010 10:30 am montana29 Hi all, A question for everyone....Was wondering for those who have kids, Where are they going to school ? One 10 year old @ Hillsmeade Primary... glad the year 7 kids have moved to Alkira. Overall has being good, any issue that have arrived have being dealt with in a timely manner. As for Alkira itself... I think its 2 early to tell how the school will develop until it fills up running all 7->12 classes in a few years. More modern teaching methods that some parent wont agree with. http://www.alkirasecondarycollege.com.au/ http://www.hillsmeade.vic.edu.au/ Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 346Oct 08, 2010 10:33 am He only started last year @ Hillsmeade, was at Glen Iris PS before that, which was a very small school. Im sure there will be plenty of open days coming about this time of year so get to a few of those and ask lots of questions. Here is a quick list of schools in the area from the Myschool web site: Name Alkira Secondary College Narre Warren South P-12 College Trinity Catholic Primary School ICA Casey College Strathaird Primary School Heritage College Courtenay Gardens Primary School St Catherine's Catholic Primary School Berwick Fields Primary School Hallam Valley Primary School Coral Park Primary School Rangebank Primary School St Therese's Primary School Kambrya College Brentwood Park Primary School Berwick Lodge Primary School Kilberry Valley Primary School Don Bosco Primary School St Kevin's Primary School Beaconhills College - Village Campus Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 347Oct 08, 2010 12:03 pm I am sending my Primary lot to Courtney Gardens Primary School. i have a Prep starting next year and 8 and 11 year old next year. My decision was based on the myschool.com.edu website and good report from friends. My older son will be in year 8 and will be getting him into Alkira. Dont know what they will do with it ... maybe a nasty letter for any offending property. Most common infringements I see around the Estate: Non Masonry Letter Box Driveway not abutting Crossover (this would be expensive to rectify) Landscaping not completed within 3months (I put my hand up on this one) No Render on front of building. Anyway ... I think it is good that Stockland are finally following up on the guidelines but I fail to see that they will prosecute anyone since the Estate is now sold out. To both you and javjad where is courtney gardens primary school ? Its on Rosebank Dr... which starts on the other side of narre/Cranbourne Rd from Casey central Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 353Oct 08, 2010 1:32 pm I was wondering if all houses had to have some render cause i have seen a few without it. I think our contract says we have 6 months for the front landscape. And our letter box must be built with the same material as our house. Does it say in our contracts what they would do ? I know our facade is fine cause our plans were rejected first time and that was one of our hold ups. Dont know what they will do with it ... maybe a nasty letter for any offending property. The question is, what are the penalties if non-compliant? Re: Building in EVE Estate 356Oct 08, 2010 3:41 pm I think in the contract it says something like the Developer will seek compensation or something or other... yet i think it would be all hot air and have never heard of anyone had legal action taken against them for not following the developers guideline before the 'sunset period'. Hey Humpys we may need to have a meet and greet after we have talked to the landscaper and tell you of our plans, will let you know when. If you look at some corner blocks their side fences extend further than 40% of the side length. Have exceptions been made here? Will they get penalised or asked to take them down?
