Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 321Oct 06, 2017 4:33 pm Hope so. No scrape done at all but maybe they will do back half them push this in to fill it. It is very gravelly but also contains a bit of plant matter whish is why i thought it was dumped at first. But could be a quarry rubble or whatever it is they use Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 322Oct 06, 2017 4:36 pm Ours was also gravelry was weird cause other builders used a yellow type of soil Might be that you dont need a scrape cause you hardky have any plant matter Think if someone would have dumped thaf it woukd nit be so tidy... Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 324Oct 06, 2017 6:06 pm Yep remembered gravel after my initial thought of soil. got thrown by the vegetation matter i saw mixed into it in some places. Have read a few stories of soil dumping which is why it was my initial thought as nothing else had happened. Learning new things all along now and i'm sure will learn even more as the build progresses but gotta not jump to conclusions along the way Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 329Oct 09, 2017 5:05 pm no action as of 10am - same person driving past later this evening on their way home and will check then for me as well no response to this mornings call but allow several days for a response is normal i think I will go out that way for a drive again myself after work tomorrow then again thursday morning. I am still curious about the rubble being delived on site and the scrape occuring - be nice to get some response to advise whats going on. Would be nice to get a callback or even a response to friday mornings email. I will call again tomorrow then call back and ask for a Manager if no response in a timely manner. Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 334Oct 10, 2017 10:56 am yay for slab being booked. Sounds like they will be busy at your site this week now Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 338Oct 10, 2017 5:00 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Yay. Scraped and trenched in a day. Looked like a cut of about 8cm or so at back left at most. With it getting smaller to non existant at front left and almost no cut on other side of house. No soil present so they removed it all for me. Took multiple photos of all trenches from muliple angles. Its good to start feeling excited again 😁 Re: Hickinbotham Build Northern Adelaide 340Oct 10, 2017 7:02 pm Entilzha Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Yay. Scraped and trenched in a day.
