Although almost none of the downlights are in a straight row , the heat/lights are in the wrong bathrooms and the alarm panel has been put in an entirely different room. We were going to remove them and get better full formed concrete, but thinking they don't look terrible enough to waste money on something I already have...does anyone know whether they will look ok tiled? We told Clarendon a few weeks back not to tile them but thinking maybe they should seeing we paid for it already... I think the stairs would like fine tiled although the wooden stairs look fab (I could be slightly biased though considering it's similar to what I want to do!). I would steer clear of the crushed granite leading to your front door. You will walk it in and can scratch your floors plus when it rains I think it would be a bit messy. Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 327Sep 21, 2016 8:11 am The doors look fantastic! I'm so happy for you that Clarendon came through on that one. And I actually think the stairs will look great tiled. What tile did you select? C U S T O M. C O R A L. They look pretty straight to me! Yep definitely get them to tile the stairs since you did pay for it My Neighbour told me it took them less than 30 minutes to fix! Don't know why Clarendon cried about it so much! But happy how they've turned out! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82062 Madison 37 - site start 16.2.16 Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 330Sep 21, 2016 8:44 am Mrs RS Hi Leeleh house looks fabulous and great to see the doors been fixed. ..love the skylight how much did you pay for them and through whom we can get that done. .. Thanks the skylight was just through clarendon. About $1200 including BAL rating specifications. I wanted a big rectangle one but Clarendon doesn't do them and I think we all know by now how little I wanted to do after handover it lets in beautiful light though! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82062 Madison 37 - site start 16.2.16 Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 331Sep 21, 2016 8:47 am MrsJM The doors look fantastic! Hoping he agrees I had to put in writing that I no longer wanted them tiled a few weeks back but no refund of course so I hope they will oblige after I told them how hideous it would look! We had PCI this morning and the house has really come together Handover next Friday!!!! Lots of little paint issues. We have an outdoor tv point with no PowerPoint and probably won't be getting one. Downlights aren't in alignment but SS thinks they're fine so won't fix them. Carpet doesn't look anything like the colour we picked still works though I guess. Intercom has been put on a completely different wall and it's where I was planning to put built in bookcases Rusty stacker doors from sitting out in the weather Kitchen bench has a join when we made it as long as we could without needing a join. Won't be fixed. Gaps where the floors meet the kitchen. Light in stairs doesn't work. Shutters damaged. Cornice warped. Wrong gyprock on the porch and balcony ceilings Now some pics!!! Sounds like a few issues they won't fix though - What have they said about the carpet? If it's clearly not the colour you've chosen, aren't they liable to change it? Also a bit of a bit annoying about the bench join - we did the same and we're promised no join so it's a bit of a worry...How can they tell you there's nkt going to be a join then put one in? And why won't they now fix it? Can you take it further? Do you have a photo of what the join looks like? viewtopic.php?t=83651 Building a modified Sheridan 35 Re: Clarendon Madison 37 in The Grove 338Sep 23, 2016 4:36 pm Hmm that's a long list!! So guess it's lighting. Not pic of the join but next time I'm at the house I'll take one for you. I'm really annoyed about this but my SS said that anything over 3m needs a join so it can't be changed.
