It feels like a nightmare that we can't wake from. We keep sending emails and making phone calls to find out if they have a plan we want a definitive answer as to what is happening, we are not going to put it in the too hard basket, we just want it to be correct; I don't think that's asking to much is it?? Re: Switch Homes. 324May 04, 2016 9:57 pm Well this morning we had a phone call from the construction manager they are going to fix the stacker doors so hopefully things start moving again.
At least someone was there today as the garage door and laundry door were left wide open so I got to go inside and I took a couple of pics. I do hate the fact that the trades are using the toilets and not cleaning them disgusting pantry kitchenette and linen upstairs We purchased these lights for the stairwell Re: Switch Homes. 326May 05, 2016 12:28 am Looks great .. if you dont mind me asking, where did you you get the linen slider doors from and how much did they cost? They are exactly what I want for my linen cupboard so just comparing prices, thanks... HI pidge they are glasskote doors we did it through the builder so cost i'm not sure about but I know they use Canterbury robes the guy who installed them was really good. I hope that helps. Re: Switch Homes. 329May 10, 2016 7:05 pm So the stacker doors have been fixed yay!!!! It only took half a day so that was great. The maintenance guy started the brick cleaning today only for a couple of hours, apparently he is doing upstairs internal fixes tomorrow and taking the cement bags out of the wall........... finally. We had an email last week saying the final elect to be done by the end of that days trade.............. no it hasn't. The induction hotplate is not installed yet as the hole in the stone is not big enough only by about a mill but it won't fit. The electricians have forgotten to install the light and switch in the attic and a couple of other things. Splashback still to be installed they said around the 16th, I think someone forgot to order it WE were also told that we will have a PCI date next week fingers crossed. We are moving forward though. WE are happy that things seem to be back on track again. [/quote] That's a bonus Re: Switch Homes. 335May 16, 2016 7:52 pm Soooooooooooo it continues the splashback is half in they started on Friday,I don't understand why they install half and then leave it. Our cornice in the alfresco was bowing so apparently they fixed the problem and had the plasterers install the new cornice on Friday now it looks worse it's like a wave. The pic below shows how the left and right side are higher than the middle.i hope it makes sense I'm also not happy with the cornice in the laundry, above the doorway in the laundry the brick work leans backwards YES!! backwards, they have put a new cornice up and have packed the underside it so now it really looks funny leaning backwards. There is now a crack in the stone where they have joined it We are supposed to have a PCI date this week watch this space. If anyone is thinking of building with this company PLEASE PLEASE be very diligent photograph and document everything I am really getting p#ssed off with the stuff ups now. splashback (excuse the mess) crack in stone Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ left side of alfresco middle right side Re: Switch Homes.
