Browse Forums Building A New House Re: My MainVue Amalfi 530 - Week 7: Plastered! 321Sep 07, 2015 5:01 pm Nothing to exciting to add today! But the eaves have started to be installed with about half the house done today. Plasterers have marked the bits they need to fix and done some sanding. Cornices installed to garage only (all house square set bar garage and robes) but robes seem to be squared off! Looks good however I'm confused about the bulkhead sort of looking Infill between the eaves and the bricks at front. Might try and get dad to clad it with timber to make it look better after handover. Doesn't look that clear on the plans if it's painted white or jasper. Organised a meeting on Monday however my SS is off due to family issues so meeting with the construction manager from head office! Should be good to see what he thinks! Too dark for pics unfortunately but they look great! Nothing new inside. Cabinets supposed to becoming tomorrow. No signs of architraves or skirtings... Painters due Monday surely they have to be in before the painters start? You can't tell from the elevations. It will be good to see how they paint it. I thought it would be just like the eaves and a little beam ran between the pillars but obviously not. Yeah me too, I don't really like it, why wouldn't they just brick up a few more. Hmm might give me an opportunity to clad it with timber post handover. Will see how it turns out! You must be super stoked with the progress I'm not 100% sure I'm assuming it will be Jasper as that's the colour of my garage door and alfresco bit. Jaspers a brown colour.
