Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 321Oct 14, 2014 4:13 pm I went to the park this Sunday and could see lot of houses started by Rawson and 2 of them had their roofs on as well next to the park. Hope to see some neighbours soon from Stage 10. Could not wait for our release date. Though I am not that optimistic it to be in late Nov. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 323Oct 14, 2014 9:01 pm I was in the area tonight so did a drive by in the pouring rain... Looks like they started your brickwork at the front of your garage. The house next to you has gone up quite quickly too! Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 325Oct 15, 2014 8:56 am I honestly don't know. It was very dark and the rain was very heavy. I could only make out the bricks because they are light coloured. Sorry! Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 326Oct 15, 2014 12:32 pm Light coloured bricks is great. The funny story is that they initially delivered dark colored bricks to my site. Turned out they mixed up the sites. Had to call them to make sure they did not start laying dark bricks instead of those light we selected. Lol. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 327Oct 15, 2014 12:34 pm Lucky!! That could have been a very costly and timely exercise for all. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 328Oct 15, 2014 3:44 pm Hi guys, I contacted Landcom today regarding the Stage 12 progress and they said Linen plan is in with Council and they are hoping it will be released and issued to LPI in the next week. Any idea how long after that we need to get our payment ready or if it will take few weeks with LPI to register the land? Will appreciate if anyone knows the process of this. They have also said that they are looking to allow restricted access to builders by the end of the month. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 329Oct 15, 2014 4:13 pm Hi Gaggy, That's exciting - it's so close now! You've probably got another 6+ weeks until it's registered. Your conveyancer should contact you once they have all the documents from Landcom advising registration. Once it's registered you'll have however many days to settle (it'll be stated in your contract). Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 330Oct 15, 2014 4:36 pm Thanks J&J. That means I have atleast 6 weeks to wait for the final payment and settle out my loan with the bank. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 331Oct 15, 2014 4:52 pm Correct. It might even be longer - it really depends how long council take to approve the plans. I know Stage 10 plans had to be revised, so it took more than double the time it should have in council. Then it was about 3-4 weeks in LPI. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 332Oct 20, 2014 10:28 am JandJ_OneMinto Correct.
