I love your home, really stands out and very different. Can I ask where you got your theatre room doors from? I actually live in Croydon too Do you mind me asking how much they were installed? Re: The Eskay Saga Comes to an end... 324Jan 17, 2012 9:33 am Thank you so much Annette, Dee and VT. It's been a pleasure reading along with everybody and seeing all your stories as well. You're all so inspirational. We had a "rogue's gallery" at our old house and I knew it wouldn't be "home" until I had it back up in the new place. My family means everything to me so it was important to have those up as soon as possible. Still need to put up some other artwork around the place and another small gallery in the master bedroom but those can take a little longer. Thanks Doreen, I love them. They are from William Russell Doors and are from their Mirage range. You can find them here; http://www.wrusselldoors.com.au/contemporary-doors/detail/mirage/ They're expensive. I think they were about $1000 per door installed. Have fun everybody. My Fiance and I have purchased lot 1202 and want to submit a planning permit to build on 52.63% of the land when the restriction is 47%. Cheers J Re: The Eskay Saga Comes to an end... 326Apr 10, 2012 11:09 am Hi J, Yes, we were successful in getting it moved to 52% from 45%. It requires planning approval because you're changing the title AND you're asking for more than 40% in an SLO3 zone (even though you already have a title for 47%). In my submission, I was able to show that this was not a precedent because 3 other houses in my Stage already had an allowance greater than what I was asking for with similar size lots. Good Luck! Steve. You know when it's us, your little doggies in the back go nuts when we walk our dog past. He goes to the fence to say hello but they go even more nuts and he quickly wants to walk away You'll have to drop in some time and do a little tour of our place - we are having the 3 month maintenence done so the bits we weren't happy with are getting fixed up. We didn't build into the 5 metre set back so I'm not sure if I can help you with that part. I'd try to find out if anybody else has done that and use that as evidence. If you go to the Maroondah Council web site, they have a Planning Register at http://www.maroondah.vic.gov.au/PlanningRegister.aspx where everyones requests for planning permit is listed. You can look through last year and this year to see if anyone else has requested that change and whether they were approved. If they have, you can reference it. Hope that helps. Good Luck.
