Loving your wine shelf too Re: Gogo's build- bamboo floor complete 3125Jul 15, 2012 6:26 pm I agree your home sure is going to have the wow factor Loretta Built The Jenmark with Cavalier Homes Macarthur. http://camdenacres.blogspot.com/ Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17870 We are in - front landscaping begins Re: Gogo's build- bamboo floor complete 3126Jul 15, 2012 6:41 pm Wow factor indeed! That bamboo is gorgeous. And I love the detail they've included by putting the miter joint in that bottom step. Our bamboo installers' idea of a bull-nose stair edge was to roughly shave the edge off a normal board and leave it untreated. . . da dahhhh! Re: Gogo's build- bamboo floor complete 3128Jul 15, 2012 6:51 pm sh!ite shi!te sh!te gogo - that looks awesome! I didn't think I would like the dark bamboo, but yours looks stunning and really ties in well with the dark colours in your kitchen, laundry and even ensuite tiles. And I love that the first two stair steps will be bamboo then carpet. Great shower screens - wished we had thought of that (but we did our bathrooms very conventional style looking at Masterton bathrooms). Well done. And THANK YOU for the laundry hamper pics. Very decent indeed. What sort of bag will you use for washing in there? In a nutshell: wonderful progress!!! Thanks Jodge, apparently the installer, installed the timber for the guy who owns the shop, so I figure he must have been ok, can't wait to see it without dust Re: Gogo's build- bamboo floor complete 3131Jul 15, 2012 7:05 pm limesoda Loving that bamboo Gogo! And those bathrooms are looking great too. Laundry hamper is an excellent inclusion in the vanity! Thanks limesoda, the laundry hamper is in the laundry but I literally just said to DH, I wish we put one in main bath! SunshineT sh!ite shi!te sh!te gogo - that looks awesome! Very decent indeed. What sort of bag will you use for washing in there? In a nutshell: wonderful progress!!! Thanks T, I do love the bamboo, I have tried to tie it in with the kitchen and dining table without it being overwhelming, it seems to be coming together, now I'm frantically panicking about the stain on the balustrade and front door, and the feature wall in kitchen above white overhead cupboards, just go from one stress to the next Laundry hamper seems pretty good, i will look for one of those pop up bags or something I think, if you get the same thing we should both keep an eye out for something that might fit Carmel Gogo I love your floor and wine shelf in particular (as well as everything else obviously! Gorgeous ). Thanks Carmel, Im hoping I will actually use the bath and therefore use the wine shelf good excuse for a wine probably::wink:: Re: Gogo's build- bamboo floor complete 3133Jul 15, 2012 7:09 pm I'm the same, I can see in your back window and see what's happening, but don't go for a proper look see without you, mind you when I see the kitchen cabinets, I may have a little wander to look at cut/fill levels in our back corner Re: Gogo's build- bamboo floor complete 3136Jul 15, 2012 7:19 pm gogo - yeah, we already have the laundry hamper in the plans, so it will definitely be the same. I will hunt back into my thread as I am sure someone (GB maybe?) had a similar hamper and an example of the bag she used... Here, page 101 of my thread towards the bottom: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34585&hilit=laundry+hamper+drawers&start=2000 It was GB and she said her bag was $5 from a junk shop. I am actually more and more liking the way our hampers will be - as big drawers - then lifting a bag out, as saves bending over and into a deep hamper drawer for the washing. (Am I sounding old?!). Whoever finds a junk shop first with the bags wins! I hate cleaning but I am really looking forward to cleaning all the floors and tiles and kitchen in our new place - are you too?? Seeing everything clean and shiny....
