Silicon work in wet areas all done, flyscreens are on, paving 2/3rds finished. Carpets and door handles early next week and then it is complete. Still got to wait for quality inspection and PCI of course but the light at the end of the tunnel is looking bright! The keys are just in reach now! I am so excited for you (and me!) @Madora Dreamer Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 308Dec 02, 2017 10:35 pm How come your fencing isn't in yet Mrsxtro? At least he acted on my email once I gave him my PCI date. @Madora Dreamer Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 310Dec 02, 2017 10:39 pm I've been contacted by the fencing contractor and they're ready to go, just waiting on me to confirm when I want it. Guess it varies between estates, however the houses all across the road from me that are past lock up all have theirs in? Was supposed to go in 3 weeks ago before the paving, so the path could go right up to the fence. They delayed a week. I can accept that. Then it was supposed to be done by the end of last week. Didn't happen. Then it was supposed to be done early this week. Didn't happen. They finally turned up yesterday when the pavers (who couldn't wait any longer) were doing the side path so they got sent away. Apparently (not holding my breath), they will be back next week to do it. Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 312Dec 02, 2017 10:40 pm Are you in a private estate? Maybe that makes a difference? @Madora Dreamer Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 313Dec 02, 2017 10:43 pm Not sure how the dog will go without the fence, especially with a very enticing beach down the road @Madora Dreamer Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 314Dec 02, 2017 10:51 pm Mrsxtro01 Ugh! I'm planning on mine being done just before the paving goes in, but I think that's going to be hard to organise. If my experience is anything to go by, their schedules seem to be very fluid and generally not to the homeowners advantage. Not once have they apologized for their inability to install the fence when they said they would. Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 316Dec 04, 2017 1:03 pm I'm having the same issues with the fencing. Looks like I'll be moving in without a fence around my house. Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 317Dec 04, 2017 10:02 pm Sliding doors and all door handles fitted today. Front door handle is not on but I am guessing that will be done just before handover. I have heard they are the first thing to get stolen if the house is not occupied. All the rubbish needs to be taken away too. Can't wait to see the front of the house as a whole now, without all the bins and piles of rubble in the way. But basically, it is finished. Hallelujah! Re: HGWA in Calleya Estate 318Dec 04, 2017 10:03 pm I won’t see mine until PCI, hanging out though! I have the landscaping and fencing meeting too on Monday. @Madora Dreamer A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time.
