How can we find out what streets have it and what dont? I'm in Domus street. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 302Mar 31, 2012 11:16 pm You will need to go to the NBN website and look at their rollout plan. It will stipulate which stages of the development are getting it and when they will get it. Hope this helps. Geesman - have you started your build yet? Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 307Apr 03, 2012 10:22 pm Fingers crossed we may have internal walls going up... gyprock delivered and said they should start tomorrow. Hope so. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 308Apr 05, 2012 9:04 pm Tilers have started. Bathroom, ensuite and laundry floors have are finished Richard have you moved in yet? Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 309Apr 06, 2012 12:31 pm Katie.. wow, it seems like you are almost there with your build!!!! Richard.. I see that you are now a resident!!! Whoo Hoo congratulations on moving into your new home! We have had a full week of work inside the house which is great to see. We even decided at the last minute to add some more lights/power points downstairs and our SS arranged for the electricians to come back this week before the sheet the house. If we don't do it now it will be almost impossible down the track to add things to internal walls of the home. My kids have realised that things are starting to move along again which is great. They are really into the process and how a home is created. I hope this gives them good understanding of what it takes to build a home.... My little one just loves going and playing in the brickies sand.. I am sure he thinks he has his own beach in the front yard. Have a wonderful easter break all.. the sun is shining and what more could we ask for!!!! Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 310Apr 07, 2012 9:16 am Hi Guys, I am now in, place is a mess... but getting moved in is like xmas, all of this stuff we pcked away 1 year ago, I have found out most of domus street is rentals... hope we get good people to move in, and for $500pw we should. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 311Apr 07, 2012 11:48 am Hi Guys for those who have already moved in or are near doing so, can you give me a heads up on the NBN installation process? Who do I have to contact to make sure they fit everything in the house? The people next door were too late in contacting the NBN and now they have to pay extra to get the cabling inside the house. I'm currently at bricking stage so there is apparently time to get the cables put inside. I'll ring the builder on tuesday but though someone might be able to give me a heads up. I'm in Domus street. thanks Stephen Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 312Apr 07, 2012 11:53 am Hi All had a second question, this one is about the water tanks. Apparently we need a 3000 ltr unit. Mine has to be at the back of the house. I'm looking at putting a deck in as my property drops off 1m from side to side (im on a hillside), so I'd like to put the tank below the deck. Anyone done anything different when it comes to water tanks? They are such big ugly POS that I want to hide mine and not see it in the backyward (which will be totally decked with a pool when completed) thanks Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 314Apr 07, 2012 4:31 pm rosewood have you been to the nbn website as there is a lot of info of the installation process Yep and like any labor government service its a total mess. has anyone organised connection in glenmore ridge? Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 315Apr 07, 2012 6:55 pm I don't think anyone has it as yet, the dates I have read is between may - september. I did read on telstra web site that they arrange the appointment for you when you apply through them & there will be 2 appointments one for nbn & one for the telstra guys that do they work inside. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 316Apr 07, 2012 7:34 pm Hi... Well we have gyprock!!!!! Can I tell you how exciting this is for us! After so many delays with rain its great to see the home with walls!!!!!!! Richard, have fun with unpacking... We have been out of our house now for 12 months and except for clothes and a few of the kids toys everything else is in storage... when we drove by noticed that you have your blinds up - they look great. Do you mind sharing who installed them for you. Geeseman - you are not too late for putting in cables, in fact this is the perfect time for it, especially any extra speaker cables etc Are you one of the doubles perched up on the hill, you will have a nice view from there. Richard, as for rentals on your street, I saw a couple looking through one during the week, they had a pretty nice car and looked like decent people. I too am worried that the house next to me will be a rental. It has been done so plain and ugly that I am afraid that it will be a rental. We already have one in our street, its a really nice house, but the front yard now looks awful, they have not bothered doing any of the edges or anything. maybe they will once all the building works have finished. Can I say again how happy I am to see those walls up. I am so happy with the layout, now that you can see it all in the real some of the rooms feel a lot larger now!!! Happy Dance here. My 4 year old kept saying, this is amazing mum but the funniest thing was when he went into his room he was excited but then he said, wow I have a toy room (its is little WIR) so funny. I can see him playing in there though! As for the NBN, our builder has put in conduit and pull throughs for the nbn and also a power point for it. Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!! Hope the easter bunny is kind to all. We have the fun of hiding all the eggs for our kids in the morning. Lots of fun! I wouldnt be too concerned with renters in a brand new house, vendors are picky as it is, let alone a new half million dollar investment house, i know plenty of repectable people who have had to wait months for a rental house with a high demand and decent tennants around applying... Getting closer to land registration for us, out and about selecting items over the past few weeks has been crazy! Check out our blog below! We ordered a lounge for the children's activity room and an ottoman, a coffee table, lounge and 2 accent chairs for the lounge room. Dining table and chairs. Lounges will take 10-12 weeks so still not sure how long until we move in but hopefully before then We also saw some fans for the alfresco and lights to do on the front of the house plus some ideas on light fixtures for inside. After the exhausting day we went past the house and noticed more rubbish being dumped in our back corner... Not impressed, not that it is our problem to deal with but none the less it makes the site look like a tip! But have a Lowe Design home. Not only did I find Matt Lowe patronising and a bully, but the home is NOT TO CODE. I have water coming through the bricks… 1 31162 Nothing yet, have been distracted this year with work related projects and a new kid but hoping to start building one way or another early next year.
