Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2964Oct 02, 2015 5:19 pm Great news Bugnada. Hoping ours does soon. How long from settlement did it take? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2967Oct 03, 2015 11:33 am We met our site manager the other day. Fabulous guy. Only managing our house and his own. We were floored when he said we'd be in by December. I was thinking March! We will see but here's hoping☺ Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2969Oct 03, 2015 11:48 am 5 weeks ago. I guess it helps when he's only managing 2 sites. Ours and his. He was fantastic. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2970Oct 03, 2015 11:52 am Thats great! Im so jealous! Ive been told that the tradies take 3 weeks off over Xmas and early January. Hopefully we will be in our home in Feb? Hoping that its a smooth process. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2971Oct 03, 2015 11:53 am I'm pretty sure that's normal. I'm in so much shock and so not prepared that our house should be ready much sooner than i thought. Must be due to use not buying land in an area they're selling in or perhaps it's just due to our site manager only working on 2 houses. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2973Oct 03, 2015 11:55 am No. We have a guy named Jared. Lives fairly close to our block. Amazing Christmas present! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2974Oct 07, 2015 6:00 am Hey guys, thought I'd add a couple of pics to show everyone. We spent last weekend putting in our air con before the plaster goes up and have the lock up carpenter on site at the moment. Plaster will start next week! Can't wait to see the final shots. I do have good news though - BankWest approved our mortgage app last night and it's a MUCH better deal than the one we had with Westpac. It's a better interest rate, we only have to pay interest during construction and we need a whopping $6000 LESS at settlement on the BankWest deal. Amazing! That means we'll be able to get professional landscaping done as soon as we move in. Our replacement guy at Resolve is brilliant. We also went and visited our block of land and THE STREETLIGHTS ARE IN! The only thing missing (in my uneducated view) is the street sign so hopefully that means Settlement will FINALLY happen this month! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2976Oct 07, 2015 8:55 pm Just got told that the frame is complete and fascia & gutter installed. Roof cover booked for later this week and then the bricklayer is due to commence next week." Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 2978Oct 11, 2015 3:54 pm Wow!
