Yes sending positive refreshed vibes in both our homes' directions! Haha Yarraland - I searched high and low to find this colour tile in 600x600. I think the alpine range came close at national tiles? Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 263Dec 21, 2016 7:30 pm So we received an invoice for completion of 'Enclosed' stage in the mail today. Looks like we did reach Lock Up stage by Xmas after all! Although I originally thought that we needed a garage door for lockup stage. I just realised that this means we are only two more stages away from handover to our first home!! Bring on the Fixing stage and then Practical Completion! Since we will be rendering the front we opted out of upgrading mortar even though it does look lovely! Sky - they finished all brickwork today Now they have officially stopped work on our house until the 16th January when they start plastering. Any news on your timeline with regards to Christmas shutdown? Hey Hun, Any chance the contractors will still work on your home without SS? My SS emailed and told us the plaster board and bricks will be done during his break. Plaster board is half finished, they started today.... the brickies seem to be on leave atm. The carpenter is due to start work on the 17th Jan. He will be followed by tiles and paint. Our SS is back on the 9th... I am so happy with our progress but I've been using your build as my guide of what's next to come.... it's a shame our times are out now but as long as we both get great homes at the end it doesn't matter. Hopefully your SS is really on the ball and gets everything happening very quickly when he comes back Xx Follow my build - Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 265Dec 23, 2016 1:46 pm Congrats on yr build! @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 266Dec 23, 2016 2:07 pm Thanks for the kind words Sky And thank you Orpheus! How exciting for you! Is that the natural mortar? My latest ongoing debacle with myself is the whole natural v off white mortar debate.... Our home will have no render details so it's a big thing to consider (and even more $$$)..... I'm basically stalking new estates around Jimboomba trying to find different Retreat305's to compare brick mortar. What is your brick choice Retreat? I'm leaning towards Sandstone Gold in the PGH brand Re: Newlyweds First Home - Hallmark Homes Coomera QLD 268Dec 26, 2016 8:52 pm Hubby and I snagged ourselves some fabulous deals at Super Amart today! We ended up with the following items and amart won't send the items until we have moved into the new house #winning - corner lounge chaise - 2 seater lounge - bed frame + mattress - ensemble base + mattress - coffee table - side/lamp table - entertainment unit Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our plan is to put the better quality mattress from the ensemble in our master, and put the crappy mattress that came free with bed frame (not pictured) in our spare room on top of the ensemble base (hopefully that makes some sort of sense).
