Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 261Jun 27, 2014 11:53 am Nature strip in the middle would be my choice. It will feel like exclusive to the estate. But I won't mind near the entry either. I didn't find the Facebook group yet. But I found a page about the grey gum estate. Is that it? Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 263Jun 30, 2014 8:12 pm Goodluck mystro. Any one appointing individual building inspector? Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 265Jun 30, 2014 8:26 pm Thanks lot14swift Your builder should provide an external building inspector to certify your home. You would need it for your occupancy certification Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 268Jul 01, 2014 6:12 pm That's great hope the rain stays away. Our build has not progressed in the last 2 weeks cause our builder only has 2 bricklayer and they are busy on 2 other houses in the estate.. Apparently a great bricklayer is had to find. Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 270Jul 01, 2014 6:33 pm We are building with Clarendon everything up to now has been done much quicker than expected but now nothing. Who are you building with? Hi Wearemoving. As a bit of an insider I can confirm that bricklayers generally are in short supply. Hope you get some progress soon and things get moving for you again Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 274Jul 01, 2014 8:12 pm @40 Hibbertia that's what we have been told our SS his on top of it and was trying to move jobs around to start our bricks. He said good bricklayer are in demand if a bricklayer is not busy and available to pick up new work, may be a good indication they are not that great. Which in a funny way makes sense. Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 275Jul 02, 2014 5:12 pm Hi Everyone from the Grey Gum Estate Its the first time i have done this chat thing! So exciting building and glad that there is a place to ask questions and have our thoughts Were building on 1 Regent Honeyeater Grove (WHAT A NAME) is anyone else building there, would love to know who our neighbours are? Also just wanted to say to Wearemoving (i think thats who suggested it) that i think its a great idea about having a park when u first drive into the estate Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 276Jul 02, 2014 5:17 pm Welcome ATJ351 to the forum We met yesterday in the estate. How do we go about raising the suggestion to council? I'd rather have them on it now while the estate is being established and worked on by them. Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 277Jul 02, 2014 5:48 pm Just reading through everyones comments from a while back 1) I went to the estate on a Saturday and your right the street is so busy as everyone parks there and walks to the netball courts but i dont think we can do anything about that! 2) Love the idea of doing a neighbourhood BBQ or similar as i have three young kids it would be nice to get kids and parents to know each other as it would feel so much safer 3) mystro you meet my husband while me and my kids were still on the block in awe of our frames going up lol Will do my homework about the park with council GOOD LUCK everyone with your building the estate is starting to look really nice Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 278Jul 02, 2014 5:56 pm Hi @ATJ351 welcome to the forum. Just an update on the illegal home renovation dumping on our neighbours land. Was on site today and a hills council truck was removing it. We are also happy to participate in the estate BBQ idea. It would be a great idea for council to do this like some developers in North Kellyville. Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 279Jul 02, 2014 8:00 pm As community BBQ will need bit of preparation , we can propose a date for just a meetup one day, one hour in a weekend maybe. It is exciting time for all of us. I am sure we have lot of things to talk about. Re: Grey Gum Estate Kellyville 280Jul 08, 2014 5:59 pm hey guys. Anyone have any insight into the whole fencing process? From what i understand the theory is its split 50/50 between neighbours, but how on earth does that process happen? Say i build the fence, do i then have to chase up the adjoining neighbours to pay me 50% of the fence costs? Ive had a google but couldn't find to much besides dispute resolution for fencing. Im thinking maybe its the case of trying to send out letters to the adjoining neighbours, stating the price I've got quoted for the fence and my intention to build it, then giving my contact details and a timeframe to reply. If i dont get a reply, then build it and chase up the cost? Surely there is a simpler way to do it? Cheers. 3 23301 Petercurtis You able to contact the certifier and get a copy of your structural plans, if they are not in your contract. If your home was approved via CDC then they… 1 20673 |
