I remember dial up days it was fantastic if we could get a ping under 200ms. I'm still on ADSL at the moment but pretty happy with it for now, at least when my house ready at aurora will have a net connection Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2205Sep 22, 2011 12:53 pm ![]() ![]() I got connected to the FTTH network via iiNet yesterday. LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2210Sep 22, 2011 8:49 pm ![]() Has anyone from Stages 1 - 7 been successful in moving to either iPrimus or iiNet??? This won't happen for a little while longer as VU are focusing on getting people in stage 8 onwards connected. The premise is that most people generally in stage 8 onwards have had no Internet connection yet (and until now had no way of getting it other than using the 3G network), while stages 1 - 7 have the opportunity to get connected. IE people with no Internet have precedence over people who can get it. I'm wondering why you haven't been connected via Arise yet though? Havent those connections been around for years now? Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2214Sep 26, 2011 12:27 am Hi everyone, I'm nearing PCI. Am so so excited to see the house coming together. We are looking forward to moving into our new home. The park on Redding Rise in Lyndarum is also being worked on. Does anyone know what facilities it will have? I'm also on the look out for a building inspector. Can anyone recommend anyone? thanks stuey. I am interested in hearing more about that park too. Looks like it will be a big one. LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2216Sep 28, 2011 10:32 pm Hey guys, Just a heads up, for those lucky few connected to the net, if you're not getting speeds anywhere near what you're supposed to, try going on a wired connection / Ethernet and not wifi. I was experiencing slow downs at my house, downloads were very quick when I first connected (about 2.5MB/s on my 25/10 plan) but didn't realize why my speeds slowed down to about 300KB/s until I pinpointed the cause - I had switched from wired to wireless. It makes sense now, and I can't believe I didn't think of it before, but the speeds are much greater now. Naturally, your results may vary, and it depends on a number of factors (eg. your wifi router brand / model, distance from router, interference with other devices, etc) but give it a shot if you've been left scratching your head. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 2217Oct 03, 2011 1:40 pm Hi all, I had a question for all those whose front of the house landscaping is completed. Were you provided with what you had signed for? The reason why I am asking this is, mine is not provided as what I had signed for and what I was promised. The reason provided by VU representative is they have a financial constrain in doing it as per the plan. I am very upset about this as this should have been communicated when I signed the plan. If they were not able to explain me at that time, then they could have atleast told me at a later date. But definitely I would expect them to communicate me of the changes they are doing on my land before they do it. I come home one fine day to see the prep done outside my house for the landscaping is 90% lawn. No sign of large river pebbles, plants in the front of the house and in the side of the house. It's a shabby job. Wasn't expecting this. As of now, no one knows what's going to happen and the contractors have come in and done some further more changes(again without any communication to me) Has anyone else faced this?
