Could have been so much worse! :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 222May 12, 2018 12:23 pm Haha, sorry about the hiccup - but it's great to hear they fixed it all up so quickly and that Candice even called to apologise, that's so cute! I bet you'll have exciting photos to share next week! Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 223May 12, 2018 3:53 pm gr8ly even with the delay, they are moving mountains to get it done for you. We finally had our garage door installed today.. although still only plaster inside... Disappointed for you Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 224May 12, 2018 6:44 pm gr8ly even with the delay, they are moving mountains to get it done for you. We finally had our garage door installed today.. although still only plaster inside... Have they said what the hold up is ? Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 225May 13, 2018 10:11 am breebarter our front pier had to be completely replaced as it was warped - no doubt from standing in the elements since christmas. Materials being stolen onsite has meant delays in ordering in cladding as well... Not sure why they wouldn't work on other things while they are waiting for materials etc to rectify another mistake.. still waiting for our cornices to be installed after 3 weeks too.. ugh. They seem to work on our house half a day a week. Probably the reason things go missing, because there is plenty of opportunity for someone to take something over the week of nonevent. The garage was put in Friday afternoon... So that has been our only progress this week.. plus some rectifying work on our pier. I really hope they catch up for you somewhere gr8ly. So sorry to hear Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 227May 14, 2018 6:59 pm Tiles, started today, unfortunately I have no pictures as it was getting dark and couldn't see through the windows much. So this is the outcome of the no bricking situation on the left hand side of the door. It is currently rendered above the door, with these wood bits over the top. Does anyone know if this is going to stay like this, or is it unfinished? We are really not happy with it and considering its the first thing people will see when they come to our house, its just not what was explained. I want Valeco to fix it, considering they were the ones that stuffed up in the first place, but I just don't know how. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The next picture is of the left hand side, also don't know whether this will stay this way, as you can see it isn't straight and smaller in width down the bottom than up the top. I don't know, the whole entryway just looks messy to me. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ helpppp meeeeeee lol. Re: Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Esta 228May 14, 2018 9:46 pm hey breebarter - yes they will stay there, but will be painted. It won't look too bad once its done, although i think they should have just cladded on top of the door considering it is just that little area. Most of our cladding is also the same. Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Estate 229May 19, 2018 12:27 pm So this week, tiles were started but no grouting yet, were meant to be finished yesterday however our tiler was taken off site to fix another Valeco job on the north side, so meant to be finished Tuesday or Wednesday now.
Sinks were installed, stone bench tops, minus the back left side of the kitchen. I love our undercount sink, so excited to see it. Everything feels much brighter now some tiles have been laid in the main flooring. Our front entrance will be changed, I told our SS I hated it lol.. he then said if it was his front entrance he wouldn’t like it either, and agreed to fix it. So the top will now be flush with the door and there will be a wide strip of wood in the left hand side of door to match the right. It’s not 100% but I understand the difficulties surrounding the door so was willing to compromise. Caught the SS on site yesterday and forgot to take photos inside! 🤦🏼♀️ so have some through the glass ones lol! So we left lol Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Estate 236May 22, 2018 9:03 pm Didn’t even know this was happening today.. so I guess we will have a driveway and concrete on the right and left side soon yay And you can see our favourite brickie filling in below our door! We asked our SS to let us know when the concreter was coming as we wanted to widen the right side and get the footpath cut out.. must of slipped his mind and only remembered about the footpath. Oh well, poor guy probably has heaps in his plate, I don’t envy them! Great to see your front door got fixed and your concreting is underway Thanks Tribe. Driveway got poured today, no photos though. Hanginggggg outtt Our First Home - Building with Valeco in Brookhaven Estate 240May 24, 2018 9:35 pm We were able to get in today to have a look at the tiling, so exciting to see everything come together, I hope our ensuite isn't too dark, we will see! No splash back or niche tiles yet but the tiler is doing a great job. concrete was poured yesterday along with the driveway and exposed aggregate today. love the colour but not really liking the shape of the driveway, so much wasted space and don't know if we will be able to get two cars up there. Love how wide the concrete outside our bedroom window is though, can't wait to put some pot plants and a chair or two out there! and now for the pictures Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and my favourite part of the week.. my front entry has been fixed!!
