The stacker door looks awesome too, will you have a flyscreen? Yep yep sure will we had them added into our house contract although I'm not too sure how it works with the 3 stacker as on our quote it says 3 sliders but we only have 2..... the 3 stacker and the normal one that comes off the kids retreat. Maybe that's how they cost for the single one extra they use on the 3 stacker? Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 231May 27, 2017 2:53 pm Looking good! Thats the same couch I want I didn't know Amart did a version of it, thats helpful It's a little bit smaller width wise with the seats but still as comfy as the one you get from Harvey Norman! Re: First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 233May 27, 2017 8:44 pm Going great Flea, nice to see the men working hard for their $$$. Bricks look lovely and neat. Flea have you looked at James Lane or rice, eureka street or early settler for a lounge?? They have very similar ones for around the same prices. Even IKEA there sofas are lovely. Our back stacker door was 3 panels at 3.6m wide and we only had 2 panels of screen. I can find the pics of you want to see. I had a rather quick look in IKEA... it was late afternoon and my 2 darling children just wanted to get out needless to say it was the quickest trip I've ever done anywhere TBH I have never heard of James Lane or rice.... and really thought eureka street would make my budget shake in it's pants but I will actually make time to go and have a look! Did it make it look funny with only the 2?? Would be great if you could find a pic I'm looking into panel glides for our 3 stacker & the slider that go out onto the alfresco. Would love to know if anyone else has had them & the pros/cons Re: First Home :) Building with Dixon Homes 235May 27, 2017 10:51 pm James Lane is really well priced! The dining table is want is from there. The customer service was non existent though so will not be purchasing from them. If you get the chance try the store at the Helensvale home maker centre Allblaqk, the dude in there was lovely and so helpful when I went, he has a Bieber swishy hair cut and is covered in tats can't help with a name though. Glad to see your progressing with your build too, we aren't that far south of you. Do give IKEA another chance I really love some of there pieces. Rice and James Lane are really nice, amazing prices with sales and reasonable without sales. I'm on the hunt for a new leather sofa for our family room (yes my grey one is only 18 months old but I managed to sweet talk Mr T into a new one ) a new bedrooms suite for us, a big girl bed for Pippa and a whole bedroom setting for our spare room and a hall table I think. Nah not at all it look how it was supposed to, the 2 panels that slide where covered the fixed panel was clear which was good. We did have the mesh though and it's bloody dark. Here are the pics so sorry the quality is shocking I don't have them on my phone anymore so took a photo off the mac 🤷🏼♀️ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ In regards to the panel gliders? My Neighbour Cathy had them installed in her Perry build and they where covered in cat hair for the cat brushing past them, she used to clothes brush them daily . They get dirty on the bottoms too as they slide along the floor. We had nothing on our sliders and I'm doing the same for the next house. Plantation shutters on all the bedrooms and bathrooms and possibly roman blinds out in the family area?? Dunno yet. Ours will be the one with the diamond shapes lol let's hope it looks ok I was wondering if they would drag along the floor.... lol she must hate when the cat rubs against them 🤣 I was thinking about nothing on them.... might have to look into a dark tint.... I need to look at a really nice rug! Something that has colour but not in your face bold... also looking in to maybe pendant lights for our bedroom. Ones that can hang down over our bedside tables! Lol hubby cringed every time I say anything about lighting cause he knows that's more work for him 🤣 My mission next weekend will be couches I think I must admit I need to start looking further than just Harvey Norman & Amart. I may find the perfect one looking further afield! First Home 😀 Building with Dixon Homes 240May 28, 2017 8:25 pm Are your windows and stackers A&L? If so it's the same stacker that we had, bahhahahhahshhs that sounds like Mr T and I, we went up our block and plotted out the house last week, we used builders string and screw drivers to make the shape, I went to push the screw driver in and Mr T was like that's the wrong spot it's right here I said nope it's here, me being me I remeasured and was wrong 🤦🏼♀️ Mr T proceeded to dance around the freshly drove in screw driver poking fun that I'm crap at measuring, he politely got told I was going to drive the next screw driver up is $):@ god knows what our new neighbors thought. The diamond screens are great, nice and safe and keep the bugs out . Yeah poor Cathy was OCD about the cat hair on the panels, cat was ginger so it showed up badly . That's a good idea about tinting the windows. Which direction does the stacker face? Ohhhhh did you say shopping??? Well hello friend I like shopping, happy to offer some suggestions, what look and feel do you want in your home? Mis matched and homely? Bright and bold? Scandi? Omg I found a pendant for Lucy to hang over her beside table, check it out. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Love it . Good plan with looking further abroad for your furniture, it will give you heaps of ideas for your home too, check out freedom as well they have beautiful displays which are great for ideas also. Your hubby will be so pumped to do all the work for you, because it's your own home and he is skilled. Plus it's satisfying as hell Cant give recommendations in general with that builder, but during the colour selection, this is honestly personal preference. Depends on the style you want.
