Just visited ours and they have done exactly the same to us plus it looks like they've actually excavated some of OUR LAND.
Absolute idiots.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 221Mar 14, 2015 3:40 pm Dunsyre100 Yeah agree, I was at our block 20 minutes ago and noticed the Impact Homes look pretty cheap and nasty in their mass production approach with a number of their places going up simultaneously throughout the latest Northlakes Estate stages. Impact Homes have left a heap of tree debris over my block, have placed their perimeter fence well inside my block and the rubbish from their workers is everywhere. Im assuming they will clean up... But you know what they say about assumption. Just visited ours and they have done exactly the same to us plus it looks like they've actually excavated some of OUR LAND. Absolute idiots. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 222Mar 17, 2015 7:29 pm Builder started digging yesterday! It's awesome to finally be able to see where our house will be on our block. Anyone here want a heap of clean fill around September? Looks like I'm gonna have a lot to get rid of when I landscape. What's people's thought on the nbn? Do we get ftth or fttn? How exciting things are underway! We will end up with a heap of fill too I think once we cut to do retaining walls etc. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 227Mar 17, 2015 7:46 pm sefac Yeah, after having it for a year it would be so painful going back... Can't wait for it! We cannot even get broadband here and I'm only across in Fletcher atm. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 228Mar 17, 2015 8:19 pm Just wondering who you guys used for tree removal and approx cost? https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80908 Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 229Mar 17, 2015 8:22 pm powerfamilybuild Just wondering who you guys used for tree removal and approx cost? We've been quoted $5k for removing 9 trees and taking the lot away including digging up the stumps/roots. I haven't got the details of who they were with me, they just happened to be doing the block next door's excavation when hubby went for a visit to the block. I'll be getting a few more quotes in the next few weeks too. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 230Mar 17, 2015 8:25 pm powerfamilybuild Just wondering who you guys used for tree removal and approx cost? I paid $1500 for 3 trees including stump ground-out below ground level and all removed. Guys name is Mick, nice bloke. I have his number if you're interested. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 231Mar 17, 2015 8:33 pm Just check with your builder what you need too. Ours we can't just do a stump grind, the whole lot has to go. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 232Mar 17, 2015 8:40 pm Good point. Our trees were not located on our build site but between our house and the neighbour but had to go. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 233Mar 18, 2015 8:20 am powerfamilybuild Just wondering who you guys used for tree removal and approx cost? I paid $990 for three trees to be removed including grinding of stumps. There's no sign of trees ever being there, and they were quick. Ours we can't just do a stump grind, the whole lot has to go. Most of the trees are so skinny in that area that grinding is all you need - there's not much else to get rid of. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 235Mar 18, 2015 8:46 am I wish ours were skinny enough to get away with that! We have some quite thick ones on our block so more $$$ unfortunately. Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 236Mar 18, 2015 7:05 pm Thanks everyone. My two quotes sound reasonable then, $2500 and $3000 for 8 trees with stump removal our builder requires stump removal https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80908 Re: Building at Northlakes Estate- Cameron park 237Mar 18, 2015 7:30 pm powerfamilybuild Thanks everyone. I think Austins was the cheaper. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80908 A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time.
