Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Boutique Homes 2041Apr 27, 2016 4:30 pm Day 5 of 7 The portable loo has been removed, they cleared the outside. Look so much better. Locked out today. But don't look like a lot been done inside. Massive puddle on the floor in the kitchen area. Not all the draws opens after the stone been on. They moved a lot of the stuff to the bedroom. I think the floor is next. Double power point Batten light connection Electrical end point only (without bulb) LED light & model We had our appointment last Friday Double power point- is $46 Batten light connection - is $53 Electrical end point only (without bulb)- Junction box interior $63 LED light & model- Range from $137 to over $200 Re: Boutique Homes 2043Apr 27, 2016 10:08 pm Jeeman - make sure you put some power points outside your house for your other needs. My total light cost for downlights in common areas (living room, office, dining, receiving) are approx. $6K that is including additional power points. All my bedrooms and bathrooms are standard lights, I will just DIY once I move in like adding light batten cover on my standard lights. --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 2044Apr 28, 2016 7:14 am Donaldouk Ozden86 Donaldouk Day 4 of 7 Work are done pretty good, I would say. But very messy. Outside area is like a tip. Lol. Our friend who is building with porter Davies are a lot cleaner. Internal Painting has been good. I heard people been having problems with the quality. But easily notice mistakes. But as long as it's rectify at the end. Another friend built with a smaller builder in Geelong and the quality of material definitely shows. Like doors and windows. Temp Fence came down today. And caesarstones are in. Looks nice. But wish I upgraded to a London grey. Donaldouk can I ask did they do reverse building with your place? Reason why I am asking is because our brick's got done inc. cladding and then they proceeded with plaster but you have half your exterior not finished but interior you have the bath, toilets, stone tops, electrical and tiling already done. And we both got Fix complete invoice at the same time yet I don't have even a quarter of everything you have already in yours. No we didn't have a reverse build. Well no one told me about it. They were having problem with the design. Apparently it's difficult to build. According to the SS. The brickie did most of the job and was hard to get them back to finish. The cladding was delay for some reason. Still have heaps to do in the front. Which leads to render and paint to delay. 2 other Capri with the same facade are being build near to us, at the moment and they are all having problems. Oh k that makes sense. Hopefully it will look amazing when finished. This might give you a ball park estimate if prices aren't increased by much. Have you ever come across over valuation. Suppose, the HIA contract price is $600K. Will the bank ever value the property more than HIA price? Re: Boutique Homes 2054Apr 29, 2016 10:58 am Hi I am new to the forum, we are preparing to build the Providence 34. We signed our PWC at the end of Feb 2016 & are due for contract signing & colours in May. At the time of signing our PWC we were told that we could downgrade the appliances from Ilve to Westinghouse & it would be approx. $1000 credit back. We were also advised that you had the choice of a Freestanding oven or inbuilt. I am now going through the process with our Pre Start Consultant on some prices of upgrades so we have no nasty surprises come the day we do our colours. Boutique are now saying that there is no credit back for the downgrade to Westinghouse, it is just a straight swap. They have also told me that there is no longer a choice between the freestanding & the inbuilt, you have to pay $400 more for the freestanding. I am now feeling quite concerned come the day of signing the contract & colours that there are now other things that are no longer included that we were advised by our Sales Consultant. We have also been advised that you are unable to proceed with colours until the contract has been signed. Interested to know if anyone else is having this issue. Re: Boutique Homes 2055Apr 29, 2016 11:05 am Welcome to the forum guys. If you want to see what is included in the cat1 or other cats. You can arrange a walk through to the Melbourne boutique on lorimer street. Prior to your colour or electrical. But I pretty sure you will need to sign before you can arrange. Re: Boutique Homes 2056Apr 29, 2016 11:06 am Do you have anything concerning the appliances in writing? If so, it will help your cause greatly in getting them to honour what you were told. Try to get everything in writing moving forward. Every phone conversation, every discussion, end it by asking them to forward all that was discussed in an email. Keep pushing for what you were told, even if you don't get it entirely, they may offer you a compromise to keep you happy. Boutique Homes 2057Apr 29, 2016 11:09 am Day 6 of 7
So we have the wooden flooring done. Tap ware mostly done. Carpet delayed a week. With the rain no chance of the render being done this week. Well we decided to take another month renting til end of June. Giving us plenty of time to move. We are going on holiday at the beginning of June for 2 weeks. If the house is ready before that can we delay the handover time? I don't want things to go missing when we are away. Also the extra zoning is not going to happen (paid for, as a variation) and the false bottom cupboard lighting they put on the ceiling instead?!? So my SS keep saying leave it to him. What usually happen? Do I get a refund or do they compensate. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Boutique Homes 2058Apr 29, 2016 11:12 am Donaldouk Welcome to the forum guys. I reckon you had the showroom visit before 2nd Feb and signed the PwC after 2nd Feb. That's the day when Boutique made big changes to the standard inclusions (downgrade) and they did reduce the base price as well. I'm surprised that Sales consultant didn't inform you about the changes prior to PwC signing. The cooktop they've in the showroom is no more standard. If you scroll back and read this forum (1st week of Feb) you will get a fair understanding of what has been changed.. 10 16521 I would never build with Fowler homes.
