Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 201Mar 24, 2014 6:07 pm That's really cool. When we built this home we got the most ugly looking mail box and painted it like a deep red it's really tiny and low the postman sometimes can't even fit mail ini it . I was suppose to change it but never did. Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 202Mar 24, 2014 9:03 pm I was tempted to get this one but the one they have on display has probably been opened and closed a lot of times and the flap doesn't shut anymore. I have the same taps in my bathrooms as you do in your ensuite .same bricks, same colour gutters. Your bath looks huge . I which I had less hob around mine but I'm forever looking on red inks display homes and they have yeh big hob. I think once the shower screen is in it won't look that big . Which I would of thought to just put a shower head in the bathroom to upgrade after would of maybe been easier to change than a pole one . But you know once I'm In I probley won't even care .will be to busy sorting out the outside and un packing . We also upgraded the mirrors but I can't remember what they look like Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 208Mar 25, 2014 2:47 pm No the builder is putting in their taps, but it not hard to change them over Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 209Mar 25, 2014 6:33 pm I sent a email to HGWA to say how embarrass I am with how slow they have been with the build. It's so embarrassing when people ask "how's the build going"? Me: " we had a tap, but now it's gone" Then that say "so the house is good?" Me: " mmm no we just have a tap!" It's so embarrassing! So now HGWA know how unhappy I am Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 210Mar 25, 2014 6:56 pm 2-cupcakes-pls I sent a email to HGWA to say how embarrass I am with how slow they have been with the build. I wonder I they ever get any happy emails from people? Haha Seriously though they really need to do something about their time managenent problems and customer service. Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 213Mar 25, 2014 9:16 pm You go girl . If only they would tell you a date and than follow through with it . Don't these builders know when you tell a client something. And then nothing happens it's worse. I'm in love with your kitchen just keep ringing everyday if you need to Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 214Mar 25, 2014 9:37 pm No one has email me back I tried to write the email in a nice way. I told them that I write on this forum so then they know the word will get around It's not Home Group WA! It's slow Group WA Hi Cupcakes. Have you heard anything back yet? We have signed with homegroup, having some troubles (don't even have our titles yet) We have a sales rep with a smart a** attitude. We have another quote from another builder.. Does anyone have anything good to say about homegroup? Thanks Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 216Mar 25, 2014 11:48 pm HGWA have been great until we had to ride the snail through the paperwork! We are in love with their house plan and price! No one had want we wanted like they did. I am hoping that because they like to spend so much time going through their paperwork that they will be super organised throughout the build! The staff have been cheerful and helpful each time I have called and email them. If been slow is the only bad thing to happen with this build then I would build with them again and tell others to do so too. They have been correcting things last week so I am happy about that. Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 217Mar 25, 2014 11:49 pm Call HGWA up and tell them that you want a new salesperson ask for Ryan he was great with us. Thanks cupcakes. I think I'll sleep on it.... Hubby has told me to have a decision by lunch tomorrow Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 219Mar 27, 2014 1:58 pm Aussie living homes is just as slow with paperwork Building in Malvern Springs, Ellenbrook with Aussie Living current stage: Locked Up Est Handover Beginning of Dec My thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65509 Re: Sharon's build with home group WA Moving slowly toot 220Mar 30, 2014 12:05 am Fingers crossed for you Sharon .... I too sent an email of 'disappointment' this week. I spat the chewy in it, basically told them they couldn't even get their own timeframes right and that I just wanted the plans as promised. Well, the response I got was to say a tree on the verge was what the hold up was - apparently HGWA needed to liase with the Shire to ask about removing the tree (turns out it hits the edge of our driveway) ... only to write a notation on the plans to say 'tree to be removed by owner before earthworks commence'. Heck, that tree was going long before because it is the ugliest thing I ever did see, if they had brought to our attention that was the delay (when I kept asking) I could have saved them the trouble. I think it comes down to communication, if you were kept in the loop, delays explained (not excused), regular contact even if there is nothing to report, you probably wouldn't care. I know the saying is silence is golden, but not when building! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 19931 |
