Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Double Storey with Highbury Homes / MyGen Homes 22Mar 14, 2015 9:21 pm Nice colour schemes, something that won't date imho Re: Building Double Storey with Highbury Homes / MyGen Homes 23Mar 15, 2015 1:16 pm Still stuck on if we should go with the large grey tiles or the wood look *sigh* the grey tiles look good in the pic above and are a safer choice I think, but there's something about the wood look ones that keeps drawing me back to them!!! ![]() Re: Building with Highbury Homes in Landsdale Corimbia WA 25Mar 15, 2015 4:47 pm Our colours are quite similar!! We have the cuban wood gloss in our kitchen which is gorgeous! The iron ore we have in the ensuite along with those light grey timber tiles which are our favourite tiles in the house ![]() Re: Building with Highbury Homes in Landsdale Corimbia WA 26Mar 15, 2015 5:02 pm I'll comment on the wood look tiles staining...they are fine and clean on all the walls and main floor but the shower floor does have some staining. It comes off with bleach and a very hard scrub. So they aren't good with water sitting on them but everything else has come off easy. We've been told 13-14 months for the build from slab down! ![]() We are still in the early stages of the build and building in Vale, Aveley. Hopefully we will see brickies next week, which is 5.5 to 6 weeks since slab down. So far so good. We've been told 7 to 8 months for the build and expected PCI is mid Oct 2015....fingers crossed. 13 to 14 months does seem a tad long to me... Make sure you stress to your builder that you want to be in by Xmas ![]() Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Building with Highbury Homes in Landsdale Corimbia WA 36Mar 20, 2015 10:14 pm Hopefully they have given you a worst case scenario, accounting for delays etc. It seems to me that other buliders give the best case time frames with fingers crossed that all the stars align, which we all know is not likely to happen. Hopefully it's also a sign that they won't tell you crap which they think you just want to hear instead of the truth. Fingers crossed also. Following ![]() Haha yes on one hand that's great (steve gets his man cave at the back and theatre/games) but the other hand = more cleaning!!! Very happy with the design though ![]() The inclusions/specifications were quite high too - comes with all the electrical as per display (minus the actual downlight fitting, but lights installed in their place for you to later upgrade) with all the light points, switches, tv points etc included, wasnt really all that much at prestart to actually add, just colours selections. Keen to get to the construction side of things! Hopefully that is as smooth as the first half!! ![]() Re: Building with Highbury Homes in Landsdale Corimbia WA 40Mar 31, 2015 4:15 pm Earthworks are due to start this week! yaaaaay! Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
