Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 22May 29, 2014 9:46 pm Haggismac Hi kimmi_baby - How far along are you with Plantation at the moment? Well we actually just got home from a day at the Plantation head office and studio. We have gone through our tender showing final costings (apart from any changes we made in the colour selection today). We also sat down and did all out colours top to bottom, inside and out. Pics soon on our colour Your colour choices look great. We've gone through colour and electrical. We're about 2 days off being handed over to the onsite team which means we'll be getting our start date for build soon! Colour bond roof.. I think my profile photo is actually showing the miller facade less the cladding! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! We have matched this with Dark Oak for the front door, plus we have removed the back wall in the dining room and added 2 sets of timber sliding doors which will be in the dark oak too. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 27May 30, 2014 7:39 pm Also a fan your selections, loving the industrial feel Thanks for the info - we're hoping to make time to visit Cosham tomorrow and also the Augustine heights displays again, just so we can include in our quote the things we will need to upgrade sch as flooring etc. We'll also be going with the Miller Facade - it's a very nice facade for only the cost of the render to front! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 28May 30, 2014 8:16 pm How are you finding Plantation's admin process? Can I ask what your final build amounts to? We were so close to signing with Plantation to do the Beckham as well. Love your colour selections by the way!! This is something I am thinking of getting my own contractor to do after hand over. As well as a matching path along the boundary fence to laundry door. Can anyone in Brisbane recommend a concreter? Do you think it would be more cost effective doing it by my own contractor? Experiences? Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 30Jun 01, 2014 1:34 pm Really liking your selections especially the kitchen. Looking forward to seeing it all come together! Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 31Jun 03, 2014 7:32 pm Colour selections final sign off sheet has been signed and sent back. Next step, to get back the quote on any changes we made i.e floor to ceiling tiles etc. cinquain - I have found Plantations admin process very good. They have promptly returned my calls, emails etc. I am very happy with this when you think how many customers they are building for. As for the final amount, not confirmed as yet. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 33Jun 23, 2014 11:58 am Hi! We're also building the Beckham 4 in Upper Coomera, Gold Coast. It looks like you're just about a month ahead of us, as we've only just had our home proposal meeting last week. I like your colour selection - we're also going with the greys in interior and exterior, although it seems there is not too much choice as Plantation really focuses on brown shades... Please keep us posted on your process! Would love to see more photos once you get started!! Are you making any changes to the home? And if you don't mind me asking, how much is full render to the house? We didn't get this quoted initially but are thinking about adding full render. Thanks heaps! And if you would like to follow our progress, here's our blog: http://ugieringer.wix.com/newplantationhome Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 34Jun 24, 2014 2:37 pm Hi ju_beck... How exciting, another beckham builder!! We really enjoyed our day selecting colours etc. As for changes, we have not changed anything structural as far as wall etcs. We have put in the higher ceilings downstairs, put in the window splash back in kitchen and we have also removed the set of windows looking onto the alfresco and changed it to a set of timber sliders and the same with the other doors. We have opted to go for floor to ceiling tiles in both bathrooms. We had our electrical appointment on Friday, that was also fun. I am just finalising locations of lights etc and once this is done ill post the plan. In regards to render, I believe to get it fully rendered was between 6k and 7k extra. Ill will check out your blog now. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 36Jul 13, 2014 3:27 pm Hello, just wanted to say that I really like your colour selections too! We will be going with greys for our build too (we are building with Clarendon though). Looking forward to seeing your build progress. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 38Aug 21, 2014 12:14 pm Each day we are getting closer and closer to starting the build. We settled the land on the 5th of August, Council approved the plans etc on the 13th August and today we signed off on the final plans and these have been sent back to Plantation. I am anticipating that we might start building in approx 3 weeks (middle of September). I will be given a date soon. I have really enjoyed the experience so far and only have good things to say about Plantation Homes, they have been prompt to reply, always returned calls and answered all my questions etc. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 39Aug 21, 2014 1:33 pm Haggismac Each day we are getting closer and closer to starting the build.
