My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 23Mar 15, 2013 8:05 pm One thing I am a little unhappy with is the brick paving at the front, near the door. You can see they didn't even out the sand, or perhaps a step is needed...but this slope just looks a little strange to me... Might be worth asking the question? Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...PRE -HANDOVER BOOKED! 25Mar 21, 2013 12:08 pm Just heard from the SS about PCI - We were meant to have it this week but they need to fix a few things. They are going to put a step near the pier where the brick paving is currently not levelled. So it's now booked for ext thursday - which is fine, we're still ahead of schedule anyway. The pier is still missing a section, there is meant to be a timber like casing around the metal poles. Apparently it never got ordered, but it should be there next week. Also, they painted the bottom part of the pier the wrong colour, the bottom is meant to be light grey and the top the dark grey, so they have to re-do that too. SS said they will fix that all up this week and next. Our render colour is not how I expected it the light grey has a light blue/lilac look to it, especially in the sun (you can’t really tell in the photo as much). It will be interesting to see what it looks like when the garage door is on. The garage is Shale Grey, I’m worried it’s now going to clash really badly! The light grey was meant to be a really close match to the Shale Grey. We ended up getting them from Redink anyway as they turned out to be much cheaper than we could find (which was strange and I'm wondering if it was a quoting error) Hi shadowkat, we found that some of redink's prices were cheaper than we could find elsewhere too. We're guessing it's something to do with buying power, plus they are taking the price of the standard item that you are replacing off of the price of the upgraded item... Whatever the reason, it works for me! Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 27Mar 24, 2013 9:26 pm Cheaper.... Take the win and be happy is the moral to the story Nice home, they have done a good job. The step is a good thing as the slop was a little odd looking Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 28Mar 24, 2013 10:05 pm Thanks, were pretty happy with it...only minor problems, but they are easy fixed and the ss is good at getting things sorted out. The garage door is on now and I really like the render now. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 29Mar 24, 2013 10:08 pm Nice pic, from that photo the slop looks okay, even if they had not agreed to do a step. Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 30Mar 24, 2013 10:15 pm It's really bad close up, the whole section is really sloppy, and actually awkward to walk on... it's strange because they have done a perfect job around the back. Anyway at least they have agreed to fix it up, so it's all good. The rest of the pier is meant to be fitted this week, I'm interested to see how it will look. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 31Mar 24, 2013 10:23 pm Looks amazing!! Love the colours, it's similar to the look we want though on a much smaller scale Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 32Mar 24, 2013 10:28 pm Thanks fmac...I love the colours now. I think I became paranoid that it looked too blue because I had a different idea in my head of how I thought it was going to look, when you pick the colours so long ago it's hard to remember what you had decided. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...nearly there! 34Mar 25, 2013 2:37 pm Thanks - yes we love the window too. Hoping to put in white shutters (internal shutters) for those windows eventually - I heard they are super expensive though, so may have to wait awhile. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Our Redink Build at Honeywood...PRE HANDOVER Tomorrow 35Mar 27, 2013 2:42 pm Our pre handover is booked for tomorrow!! Hopefully we don't find too many problems. They're already fixing the brick paving and repainting our front door. We've been checking most things as we've gone along. Someone broke in on the weekend and stole our A/C control pad thing and a bunch of deadlocks and door handles that hadn't been installed yet. They left the place wide open, so we were able to have a good look around inside over the weekend. Thankfully they didn't destroy the place or steal anything major (still really p@#!es me off though) My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...PRE HANDOVER Tomorrow 36Mar 27, 2013 9:59 pm Fingers crossed for you, congratulations on making it too the next stage Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...PRE HANDOVER Tomorrow 38Mar 28, 2013 4:33 am all the best for handover the house is looking lovely congrats Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...PRE HANDOVER Tomorrow 39Mar 28, 2013 1:52 pm Thanks...it all went really well. I feel really glad that we built with redink now we have come to the end, honestly our site supervisor could not do enough, the tiniest flaw on the paint work on some doors, he jotted down and said hell get it repainted, any little chip he marked with a red dot....so hopefully as there is nothing too major to do we could have the keys in about 10 days! My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: Our Redink Build at Honeywood...PRE HANDOVER Tomorrow 40Mar 28, 2013 2:02 pm Woohoo!!! so excited for you! Have you organised everything you need done prior to moving in? This bit scares me..we will be so happy the house is finished but its really only the first stage of finished!
