I've built in Mandurah through winter 3 times and each time the rooms were a swimming pool, but amazingly I never had anything major fly off or go wrong even through the storms. BUT any potential damage to the house while under construction is the builders problem anyhow. You can relax and enjoy ![]() Re: First build - Ben Trager Homes (Pics/Plans added) 29Mar 16, 2013 8:31 pm ![]() In need of some ideas for splashback colour... With an all white kitchen and grey stone floors, thinking of going with a splash of colour - blue. But then worried we will get over it pretty quickly so thinking a neutral colour. Any ideas would be great! The kitchen colour sounds great. We are doing something similar but have decided to do a charcoal mirrored splashback. This would go great with your grey titles. ![]() Building thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63581&p=992445#p992445 Contracts signed: 8/11/12 Subdivision: 25/2/13 Settlement: 05/03/13 Work commenced:27/03/13 Slab: 11/04/13 Framing: 13/05/13 Roof: 31/05/13 Re: First build - Ben Trager: Dates and Question RE Winter b 30Mar 16, 2013 11:27 pm - My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: First build - Ben Trager: Dates and Question RE Winter b 31Mar 16, 2013 11:53 pm ![]() Thanks for the feedback SB and 1rocky, I'm sure it will be fine I just seem to worry about worst case scenario! TeamZC, thanks! Took a really long time to decide on colours, still haven't decided on splashback colour but I do like the idea of a grey then having our splash of colour in our decor.. Yes that's what I was thinking. I wanted to do a turquoise colour scheme in my kitchen dining area but decided I would stick to charcoal/ greys so then I could change with decor. That way you can match it with anything. I've seen a few new homes with it and it looked amazing!!! Thanks Emily Hi Emily, We have found Ben Trager to be very good, although this is the first time building so haven't had experience with any other builder. In saying that, reading other people's threads and speaking with friends the building process has been so much faster and easier with BT. We signed with BT early December, signed off on final plans end of January, 3 working days later had pre-start. Finance was held up a bit but BT went ahead and submitted building permits, and started pre-scheduling our job. Once finance and permits came through (within a few days of each other) we were given dates. Build has now started, earthworks last week and slab tomorrow. Overall i would recommend to anyone considering them.
