Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Brooks Reach Nightmare 21May 13, 2013 2:24 pm That is really strange and frustrating .. Have you mentioned anything on the Stockland facebook? I know whenever i had any issues i went straight there and i was able to speak to other 'higher ups' .. I know with our stage we had to wait for the whole stage 4 to be registered before they released the land to us and we settled with our conveyancer etc.. Have you got a lawyer or conveyancer? i would be getting them to follow it up... Re: Brooks Reach Nightmare 23May 13, 2013 4:01 pm wow, thats weird! september 2013 or 2014? they are all over the shop with facts. i think whoever you are talking to from Stockland doesn't know whats going on. can u say what lot it is thats meant to be getting registered ahead of time? or what builder? thats so not fair to others if they do go ahead with what your builder has told you! keep us updated please. Lewis Re: Brooks Reach Nightmare 24May 21, 2013 3:15 pm One block of land in a staged subdivision cannot be registered without all the other blocks being registered too as they will all be on the same deposited plan. We were told the delay from June to September for Stage 8 was due to the fact that once they laid the storm water pipes it was a 3 month delay for them to be inspected by the correct authority (assuming Sydney Water). Stockland are allowing people/builders to submit their plans for DA approval and obtain Construction Certificates prior to the registration of land, however you have to seek the approval of Stockland in writing and they want to approve everything before you can lodge with Wollongong Council. Funny how my prediction was October. Hopefully the land gets registered but in all seriousness, My deposit was in June 2012 and the land gets registered (if it doesn't change because of delays with power capacity LOL) in October 2013. If anyone from Stocklands does read this, you seriously need to review your forecasting with project managers, planners and sales people and be as open and upfront and honest at the time of sale as you possibly can be. I personally would not deal with you in the future again if given the opportunity. I hope everyone else ends up on time as scheduled. Hey, No offence I'm not prepared to say at this stage, I want everything to run smoothly but yes I do hope so. I'll report back once or the formalities are done so their is a realistic idea how long the whole process has taken. Re: Brooks Reach Nightmare 30Mar 27, 2014 10:18 am I am in stage 10 at Brooks Reach. The land was supposed to register Feb 2014 has been pushed back to May 2014 but it hasn't even been lodged to the LPI and we are the end of March so I am doubting it will register in May!! I don't feel that Stocklands is being completely upfront about the delays and really are giving nothing away! Is anyone else in stage 10? If so- what feedback are you getting from Stocklands in regards to when it will register? Re: Brooks Reach Nightmare 31May 04, 2014 3:25 pm neat_1988 I am in stage 10 at Brooks Reach. I heard that it can take up to 6 weeks with the LPI so I am doubtful it will be registered by end of May. I am thinking end of June registration and July settlement. When did you purchase your block and have you selected a builder yet? I can't see it happening in May even though they sent out an email on Friday saying they are still on track to register in May. Who are you building with? |
