Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Still isn't 100% completed but they blokes have said they are planning on finishing tomorrow. Not sure if you can gauge from these photos but I have a lot of building up to do around the house area roughly also need retaining walls of about 800 all the way around due to the cut and fill. I looked at your plan and the manhole is in the hallway I think - did you ask to have it moved? We have ours in the garage - best place for it - they aren't the most attractive thing are they? Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Framed 34Feb 29, 2012 8:28 am It's in a spot which once the roof is on whoever needs to go in the roof will have to be a child... I'm not big but I doubt I'd even fit in there.. about 400mm gap on the highest point above the hole I asked in the interview to have it moved and the guy I had said they're builders, they will put it in the best spot... well obviously not... My dad keeps on about having it in the garage but again they said they wouldn't do that because it's a safety issue when the house is still being built... I'll work on that thought i think... the house is trellissed (I think thats what they call it) so afterwards for the a/c is going to be a pain as well. Definately have it moved, its really easy to put a new one in somewhere else and just cover the one they have already made with gyprock.. We had a second one on the plans and only discovered yesterday they just never put it in. theyve offered now to put it in (very easy apparently) but it cant go in the spot we origianlly picked due to the roof or some other cr@p! Put the hard word on them, its easy enough to do! P.S Ours is in the garage and they had no problems during the build! Building in Adelaide, SA Slab poured 08/09/2011 Handover 18/01/2012! SS said if it's not done soon he will do it himself... Gutters and Fascia's went on last week as did the roof tiles and they were finished off Monday. They put one of the gutters about 400mm to the right of the front door Very unhappy as again I spoke at my final interview and wanted that moved (Definitely know now any changes they say don't worry it's just indicative, MAKE SURE IT'S MOVED ON THE PLANS, because the tradies just follow the plan to the TEE and then things get put in spots you don't want it. Had basically a whole pallet of roof tiles left over... are they ideally mine or are they right in taking them away... I would have thought I had paid for them I should get to keep them! Anyone know? Just called the SS to see if I can get a key through lock up but he said NO Damn lol. He said I should have a brickie there mid next week... after this week being such a Sh$! week next week better pick up... Maybe I will have some hot, tanned, sexy blokes there that I can perve on Suppose being that I've been told September only to have my keys I can't be too upset with the hold up now I'll drive by tonight and photograph the completed roof and upload a few pics BB Barossa Bubbles Building own design Fairmont Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51265&hilit=Barossa+Bubbles Roof on-bricks next Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, roof is on 38Mar 30, 2012 9:45 pm So, huge apologies I didn't get these uploaded last week, had many things on and never got the chance.
