Went out to the block this morning to find a pretty little slab! jeez it looks small.... great to finally see the size of our front/back yard. Anyway here are some photos we took still has a few patchy dark grey spots waiting to dry out before commencing frame. Saw the discuss abt fridge recess, regret we didn't think on that point when we planed our house, hopefully it wouldn't cause too much trouble when we shop for fridge at later stage. Do you have plan to install HT system? We are thinking to install, but not sure abt wiring issues. Yeah we didnt think about the fridge either, only after realising what our friends went through fitting a larger fridge. Yes we already bought a HT (projector) system from The big picture People they will do pre-wire when we get to frame stage. Then when we are ready to move in they will come in and do the full install free of charge. I tell ya its peace of mind! Hope the CS will be ok with this have'nt asked him yet but either way The big picture people advised me they can still do it after handover and still get the wiring behind the walls... so either way im happy. Re: Andrea & Rathan's Atlantique adventure! 26Sep 02, 2009 6:14 pm Slab looks fantastic!!! This reminds me of the days we built our Atlantique 36 Mk2... Good luck for the rest of the build! BTW, today marks one year from our site start!!!! Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! May ask how long the total build took for you please? Re: Andrea & Rathan's Atlantique adventure! 28Sep 02, 2009 7:44 pm Rathan & Andrea Thanks S&P Oh happy one yr lol! May ask how long the total build took for you please? Well site start was 2nd September 2008 and handover approx March 2009. So 6 months, but thats because it went through the 1 month -1.5 month Christmas/New Year holiday. So Id probbaly say it takes 5 months build time, exc holidays. Your build will most likely run through Christmas holidays.. Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! I have checked with my CS regarding the HT system, apparently he doesn't suggest us to do the pre-cabling work during their construction becuase the public liability risks. but he also said it will be fine to do even after the handover. is the big pic people's website http://www.bigpicturepeople.com.au? You are wise to extend the fridge recess, we decide to do some market research on this weekend but most likely wen can only fit in the single door fridge. Good luck with rest of your building journey, will exchange the progress later. Re: Andrea & Rathan's Atlantique adventure! 31Sep 03, 2009 7:37 pm We also think we are going to get a similar answer miphias , oh well I guess they are going to have to do it after handover... Yes that is the website they were very helpful for us. Good luck to you also! Re: Andrea & Rathan's Atlantique adventure! 33Sep 15, 2009 9:34 am Hi Mei, I believe from memory it cost us $240 we also added a capped water point and power point in the ceiling space for future connection for evap cooling... We originally chose Boral "Winsor", but it is stopped producing untill mid Oct. so what brick did you now decide on miphias? did you have a backup brick already chosen? So far so good Hels... although we are not getting independent inspection we hope the work is as good as it looks to us did you get your own independent inspection checks done? not sure if we should or hold on till final inspection... |
