Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in EVE Estate 22Apr 14, 2009 11:20 pm I started this thread back in October when I first joined H1, now I see there are lots of houses being built in EVE and there are even some people living there ( I count 5 house's that look like someone live in them) Yes not many at all, but many house look like they are only weeks away (if not days) from being finished so I guess this number will start increasing weekly. So again I will ask the question .... IS anyone building in the EVE estate? Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 23Apr 15, 2009 9:11 pm Hi Cozmo, We are brand new to H1, but we will be building in Eve, eventually. We are builing the Galley 23 with Places, but waiting for the next land release on 25/4. I don't know what street yet.. The land will be titled in October & hopefully start builing in November. So far all the info we've been reading here has been so so helpful, as first home buyers we are totally overwhelmed. Good luck with your house Cara Cara xo Building with Places "Galley 23"@ Eve, Cranbourne Nth Blog: http://www.finalyhome.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 24Apr 16, 2009 9:21 pm cara&heng ly Hi Cozmo, We are brand new to H1, but we will be building in Eve, eventually. Yes it is a great resource and a place full of people going through or have been through the same thing as you. I have learnt so much from this site reading about other peoples experiences. As for EVE it has been going gang busters as of late, we got in early into stage 2 , we originally selected the block next to the one we now have, but we took 2 long to put our holding deposit on it (we thought about it for 1 day )and Burbank snapped it up (and a few around us) for house and land packages, you should be able to work out which house mine is from my blog as you drive around the estate. There are a couple of others that's have posted on H1 that are building in Eve, but they are not regular contributors. Their H1 names are Gil and Deepa. I think Gil's house is complete or pretty dam close, in stage 1. I am not sure were Deepa is building. When the time comes make sure you create a blog, I found it a great time killer after the hustle and bustle of the sales, tender, colour, tiles and contract appointments....and numerous visits to Hopetoun Good luck getting the block you want in the next release.... lets us know how you go! cheers Cozmo http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 25Apr 24, 2009 1:59 pm Hello future Eve neighbours! We finally have a release date for our block, This sunday!! They told us to choose a few blocks to avoid disappointment, but we sent these preferences to the buikder & he replied Quote: The block we have suggested, to avoid site costs, is Lot 1128. I have shown the engineering to my estimator, and he said you would not incur any additional site costs, through us !! So, even if it is H Class soil etc, this is Included in your base price of the house ! Yay! This was our first choice anyway. Wish us luck Cara xo Building with Places "Galley 23"@ Eve, Cranbourne Nth Blog: http://www.finalyhome.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 26Apr 26, 2009 4:49 am Woo Hoo!! We are second in line! We are planning to build with Rawdon Hill. Please advise us and give any suggestion we need to take care before finalizing with builder. Thanks Tej Re: Building in EVE Estate 29Jul 15, 2009 12:13 pm TejSon Hi All We have purchased a block of land in stage 3b in Eve Estate. We are planning to build with Rawdon Hill. We are at the end of the road for our build in Eve with PCI tomorrow and handover next week Im sure if you look around the forum you will find a wealth of information on tenders, colour appoinments ect. One thing I would say is to make sure you put in enough for fencing and driveway allowance (if not included with your build). Goodluck with it all and enjoy the ride Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 30Jul 15, 2009 12:36 pm Hey Cozmo just had a look at some of your pics, what is your flooring? We were thinking about building in Eve but no impressed with the fact that they are now in the later stages letting people build carports. We were thinking about building in Eve but no impressed with the fact that they are now in the later stages letting people build carports. Flooring is from trueloc and is Spotted Gum http://www.trueloc.com/home.htm I didnt know about the carport thing.... I dont recall seeing any yet ? I heard that at the new shop's being built buy feb. next year there is a Charcoal Chicken and a Gym going in..... So you can get some fatty chips from the chook shop and then go work it off at the Gym...... or vice-versa Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 32Jul 15, 2009 3:03 pm hmmm car port?? I have not seen any in the estate. By the way why would one want to have a carport instead of a garage... it just brings the value of property lower... Cozmo .. congrats mate ... finally its handover We are in a lock up stage...so how long from here? Everything is moving fast... Re: Building in EVE Estate 33Jul 15, 2009 3:43 pm Thanks for the flooring info. Yeah carports are allowed in the later stages, sucks as they are ugly. That's interesting, I inquired about leasing one of the shops and was told there would be no take-away like at Casey Central. I was told a cafe, bakery, hairdressers and something else and the other 4 shops were being leased to Chemist Warehouse. Re: Building in EVE Estate 34Jul 15, 2009 9:43 pm I think we are pretty safe with the carport thing..... really what house design does not have a garage in Vic these days and I dont think there is enough room on those blocks for both. Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 35Jul 17, 2009 7:05 pm Hi Guys We are building in Eve and in our land contract it says no carports! We are just waiting for our building permit to come in and then we can start. We had to make 3 submissions for design approval they were very strict about everything but we are building in stage 1. Excited to hear about the Gym! I am current a member of Casey Arc at fountain gate but to be able to walk to the gym would be awesome! Are the shops replacing the sales center or are the going in at the other side of the carpark? We are not even a 5 minute walk away which is awesome! Building Sandhurst 36 Porter Davis Currently Fixing Re: Building in EVE Estate 36Jul 17, 2009 9:24 pm The carport option is for people who don't want to spent the money on having a garage built I guess and has only just been allowed in the latest release. The shops are going to be on the other side of the existing carpark and the land office is going to be part of the medical centre/chemist. Re: Building in EVE Estate 37Jul 17, 2009 10:05 pm Yes it seems like the restrictions are a lot lighter in the later releases although even in stage one the very first house that was completed (apart from the town houses at the entrance) has a metal letterbox (should be masonry) and driveway was colour on concrete not colour through. chickad23 I see that you are building the Sandhurst 36... did you have to cut the size of it to fit it in the building envelope ? or were you lucky enough to find one of the few blocks deeper than 32m in Eve? Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building in EVE Estate 38Jul 17, 2009 11:45 pm No unfortunately we got a 636sqm block so our depth is 32m so we had to cut 700mm out of the house It was the biggest block we could get at the time and from most of the new releases we have seen they don't really go any bigger than 32m! There isnt a lot of space for a big backyard only about 7.5m at the biggest point but we didnt want a huge backyard too hard to maintain Building Sandhurst 36 Porter Davis Currently Fixing Re: Building in EVE Estate 39Jul 18, 2009 9:04 pm Cozmo TejSon Hi All We have purchased a block of land in stage 3b in Eve Estate. The block I purchased in stage 3b is 14m x 32.8m size. I just wants to plan my budget for building so wants to know how much I should allow for driveway (colour concrete) and fences? Also what is approximate site cost in our estate? Cheers. Tej Re: Building in EVE Estate 40Jul 20, 2009 1:09 pm hey future neighbours, my first post on this extremely helpfull and enlightening forum. We have bought land in stage 11 at EVE, building the fairhaven with places. one thing that we have noticed is in our contract as a stipulation from the council is the reqiurement of a tree (2m at time of planting) to be planted prior to moving in.. we have been for a drive around the estate a few times an noone seems to have a tree, and even the people who have started thier landscaping dont seem to be incorperating such a tree into thier yard. anyone else noticed this? and what sort of trees are people thinking they will have if the reqiurement is across the estate? jeremy & amanda A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time.
