According to our SS the gyprocking will take a week to install and a week to plaster! So exciting though! A week for each! Over here for us, it took them 1 week for both Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1942Mar 17, 2013 7:40 am Vatche A week for each! Over here for us, it took them 1 week for both Unfortunately I am not counting on it happening that quick Vatche - i'm not sure if we have the same level of resourcing here which is why your build keeps getting further ahead! We are becoming so cynical we are actually adding time to anything we are told and even then are wrong half the time! Vatche Thanks for that. Unfortunately, my letter has no mention of any frequency or options, and now M is being an A55 and not even keeping any appointments I make to visit my site, even on a milestone/progress payment stage. I checked our letter and it doesn't give any frequency either..... that's not good if they aren't keeping scheduled appointments, I wouldn't be happy either..... are you going to contact someone higher up the M chain to discuss the issue? MJ Overture Just a bit of an update, we are now at 97 days and still no plans as the first lot were not compliant with CDC. We made the necessary corrections 1 month ago however still nothing. Guess this process will really teach us about patience. MJ I feel your pain, patience is definitely tested during this process! Are your plans back with Council? Merlot Hilton with Traditional Facade Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1943Mar 17, 2013 8:55 am Hi Vatch & Abiggerhouse we are building the Overture Premier and it is taking the maximum percentage of home to land possible. The problem was when initially sitting with our sales consultant, a 4.5 m frontage was being worked with. However when it came to drawing up our initial plans CDC states that the frontage has to be the average of the house to your left and right (which wasn't considered before). As one of our neighbors house is pushed a little further back that then impacted us, with a few changes like moving our alfresco etc we should now be compliant with CDC. Now just waiting to make sure that is the case As you can tell I have not mastered replying to various posts, ill get it eventually Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1944Mar 17, 2013 12:47 pm We had similar issues with our frontage size as our neighbour has 11m! Putting us at avg to 9m. We asked M to do average of all adjacent houses, bringing it down to 7.5m, 1m short of min we are allowed. So that worked well. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1945Mar 17, 2013 7:23 pm Ricaaaa dsa39 Thanks guys! Its just dawned on us we have to pack Yay the joys of packing I hate packing and unpacking, I wish the packing/unpacking ferries would just come in and magically to do it while i'm sleeping :p But how exciting to be able to move into your brand new house in other news what a beautiful sunny day in Sydney...too bad it's a Saturday and M don't work on Saturdays There are packing faries how does one obtain one Dont worry sometimes they do work saturdays trust me viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46741 Clovelly - Masterton Homes 5% to M 290312 CDC 21/06 20 days 29/08 Slab 17/09 Frame 26/09 Bricks 24/10 Roof tiles 20/11 Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1946Mar 17, 2013 8:29 pm Got the 2nd plans. Mostly fine but we are debating the front upstairs windows. As we removed the portico there was a blank wall section. We (and designer) thought adding two windows to match what was already there would fix it. However we think it now looks cluttered. We have mocked up 5 variations. Would love feedback. So most likely no furniture against them. Draw where your furniture would go and decide on that. Are all the windows part of the bedroom? If you prefer light then B, or F. If the head of your bed is on right side, then D. Good luck with the choice. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1948Mar 17, 2013 9:38 pm Thanks vatche. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1951Mar 18, 2013 2:22 pm Hi All, Been a long while since our last update. Things progressing well and on track for PCI on 28th March and then keys the week following Easter. We had a 'lost week' due to a problem with our painters. Never told exactly what was wrong, but by the following week, the painters finally started. Currently the garage doors have been installed. Internal painting supposedly finished, although not happy with a lot of it. Our front door is to be stained almost black, and it looks like it's only had one stain applied, still looks brown and has stain all around the architrave on the inside, which has not had our walls re-painted to cover yet. Lots of misses, chips in ceilings, gyprock sanding done poorly in the garage roof and parts of the living area that is showing the lines where the gyprock was glued. Really feeling terrible about the paint job..... Also, the outside cornices and alfresco beams only have the undercoat put on them, all the lintels are unfinnished and the power metre box and gas HWS box is still stainless steel and not painted at all Also noted that our internal doors have been roller'd and not painted by a brush - looks like a speckle finish and not the high gloss look that was done to our laundry door.... Anyone else have that issue? We paid extra to have contrasting white high gloss on our doors and architraves but this looks $%^&*(? Meeting with SS tomorrow and will have a long list of issues to raise if we are to go close to being ready for PCI at the end of March. Plumbing has been done and all fittings are in, except for water purifier and bath tub sprout. Shower screens and mirrored wardrobes still yet to arrive and none of the built-ins have the hanging rail or shelf in yet, as well as the linen cupboards and pantry not having any shelving in them at all. Would have thought these should have gone in before painting. Did anyone else get these shelves BEFORE painting ??? Getting very nervous about how much they can achieve before Easter. Electricals and Sentinal all still yet to be installed and notice that almost 30% of additional powerpoints we paid for, are not even punched through the walls as yet..... Will post further updates when they come to hand 28/5 3.5K 1/8 Final Plans 20/9 Contracts/Selections 29/10 Council appr, CC 15/11 Scrape, peering 21/12 Slabbed, framed, bricks start 22/1 Bricks & roof comp 20/2 Lock up 5/4 Moved in and PCI Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1952Mar 18, 2013 2:43 pm pacificisis ::: Hi All, Been a long while since our last update. Wow, there's some problems there, eh? Sorry to hear. I bet they'll be working like crazy to rectify this prior to PCI. It sounds nuts - I'd be kicking your SS's heiney! We've just today had the cleaners through our place. I'll post photos tonight. I suspect we'll be getting a walk-through soon - I wouldn't know, as our SS doesn't return my calls... I also noticed a couple of large skips in the front yard - I'm guessing they will be removing the rubbish and hopefully ol' stinky soon too! There are no speckles or stroke marks - I saw them apply the paint Also, yes, the painting was done BEFORE the shelving in walk-ins, laundry, etc, was installed. That's normal (if a little crazy imo). I think the builders from the other houses think I am mad as everytime I go past they give me this big grin and a shake of the head - I'm like a child with a new toy.
