Hope you roof is finished before xmas break Baulkham Hills. I've got a letter from one of my future next door neighbors about erecting ezy clip fencing . The quote that they got was around $120 per m2. This price includes the sleepers but excludes the cost to dig the holes for the posts. It's going to be another $35 for each post. Can anybody give me an input about the price? The quote came from All Hills Fencing. Anybody has experience with them? Thanks. Hi Patey. Re Venini vs Baumatic, I upgraded my rangehood (add $239), and dishwasher/microwave (add $69). Baumatic's rangehood uses LED instead of halogen (on Venini RH). I can't remember why i upgraded the dishwasher. If I'm not mistaken Baumatic has more feature and the upgrade cost is not that big. Also, it seems like Baumatic is a better brand than Venini, but that is just my impression. Has your neighbour gone and gotten other quotes for you to look at, is this the best quote? Are All Hills Fencing able to give you a total price for the fence so you at least know what you are up for? I am not sure about fencing as I am yet to do this and none of my neighbours has contacted me about fencing either. It would be good to hear from others that have gone through this and can give us advice from their experiences as I know it will come in handy for others who will need to fence in the future. My understanding of the NSW fencing act is as follows 1) the minimum specification is a 6ft paling fence 2) 3 quotes should be obtained 3) if one owner wants more than the 5ft paling fence (ie colorbond or this easyclip fencing) the other party can state they are only willing to pay for the cost of the 6ft fence If you are happy with the easyclip then ask for 3 quotes or if you want timber/colorbond get other quotes... If you google NSW fencing act you will get the full detail... Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1865Nov 30, 2012 11:30 am Baulkham Hills welby My ss rang me a week after we got to site then nothing I had to call him to ask him something and arrange a site meeting but he's getting everything done pretty quick so i'm just letting him go. Bit of an update with the house to, water tank has been installed and connected all the gyprock is finished except for the entry where they have used a cornice and on the display home which we copied with the raised entry there is no cornice, will have to bring that one up with them. Doors have all been delivered this morning and when i went past after lunch carpenter was there putting them on Glad to be locked up hopefully after a bit of vandelism in the estate the past week. Welby, how are things in relation to your bricks and mortar issue? Have they rectified it yet or are they going to wait until next year? Hi Baulkham probably wont happen to next year i'd say but my ss had no problems at all fixing the bits i wasn't happy about, mostly bits blown out by the pressure washer. Also all my doors, window and door frames have been installed today which means by this afternoon i should be locked up Building the Lawson with Eden Brae in Cameron Park Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1866Nov 30, 2012 2:15 pm Hooray for being at lock up Welby! Sheffield - I would ring your sales consultant and get it added in now. It will make your tender presentation easier. I wish I had done a lot of it prior. We pretty much have our exterior chosen Bricks: Vanilla Mortar: Off white and raked Tiles: Barramundi Gutters: Monument Fascia: Paperbark Downpipes: Paperbark Windows: Paperbark Eaves: Surfmist/off white Garage colour: we are deciding between ironstone to match some of the render on the porch columns or just monument Tiles: still not sure but the standard range seems pretty good for us so far but haven't made a decision Edit: our tender is in a week and a half but we wanted to check out the selection they had and just made up our mind Building a Sheffield 25 + 2sq Pegs 4/6 Site cut 10/7 Slab 18/7 Frame 26/7 Roof Tiles 9/8 Bricks 21/8 Lockup 27/8 PCI 1/11 Keys 15/11 Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1870Dec 01, 2012 5:21 pm Sheffield... We pretty much have chosen the same colours. We originally wanted off white raked mortar but it is an upgrade, we are now going for natural raked mortar. Our eaves we chose a taubmans paint called Persian mist. Windows were chose slate grey, it's like woodland grey and garage door monument. There is a masterton home getting built with these colours on this forum, I have been watching that build... It's ps sirroco's build if you are interested. Don't ask me why it has taken soooooooo long but at last, 20 weeks after coming out of council, the house is starting. I will have a slab to celebrate christmas with and then the frame and the rest of the house sometime in the New Year. At last. I built with EB back on 2009.
