Master bedroom, ensuite, WIR, 4th bedroom done and one wall in each of the 2nd and 3rd bedroom. There was a small bit of render done on the outside on Monday morning which has only gone down a bit of the garage and round the front door, not sure why, but hey it's started! It was too dark to take photos last night so will try and get some today. Motoring into the last week before Christmas, I think anything else after this before the close will be too much to ask, but I'm remaining hopeful. After the delays I reckon we are approx 6 weeks behind where we should have been which means they have caught up about 3 weeks which is not bad going considering. Found out that the corner column of the doors need to be fixed by some panels which they fix top and bottom and clip into the doors, so all seems to be in hand there too. They have asked for our handles for the cabinets to be taken to the cabinet makers which we will do on Saturday. Checked our colour choices out and we went for designer white on doors and frames etc and scribbly gum for the walls, looking at the choices again I think I'm pretty happy, nervous to see it all come together. Tiles are still bothering me whether we went too plain, but I'm hoping they won't date and I can use colour on walls and accessories with good lighting. Is it the ceilings and cornices after grey float? I think it's just enough grey float to make the walls straight and the white set stick! Aveley-Dale Alcock- Ceilings done and we have glass :) 188Dec 19, 2013 7:58 am I can't believe how quickly things are moving now, Dale Alcock have really redeemed themselves with us and at the moment (touch wood) are doing everything they said they would. My visit yesterday had all the ceilings done (email from Dale Alcock said they would be started by the end of the week) they started on Monday. The cornices have arrived and we have glass in our front door and glass waiting to go into the front French doors on the verandah!!! We asked a couple of questions over the weekend on a couple of things that appeared to be missing or wrong and by last night most of them are resolved. On the front verandah pillars there was render missing from the bottom, that's now done. In the kitchen above the hob, the fridge and the drop zone there was no bulk head, that now done and lastly we had to have a planter to meet shire requirements and that's been cleared and looks like they are on to it! I'm amazed at the moment every time we go how much they have done and how it's coming together. I really wasn't expecting glass this side of Xmas.
