I would like to seek for some advise for members who live in aurora stage 14, quite obviously we are living nearby thus just wondering will the council mow the grass along streets or we have to do that? yesterday or day before i saw council guy coming to water the ?eucalyptus they planted, but at the same time he uprooted some weeds around the tree and dumped them beside...those weeds are growing taller each day and i just want to gt rid of them asap... also, anyone experienced your garbage bin not being clear at most times? thanks ina dv. tort hi if you mean the nature strip yes its up to you to cut the grass. As far as bins if you have a rubbish bin from council then they should have let collectors know you are there they do this when bins are ordered to be drop off for new residents. If they dont pick up the bin then ring them and they will get someone to come back out and do it. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1723May 07, 2011 5:54 pm boj Has anyone else found lots of dead mice recently? We've found a handful in our garage and driveway this morning, wondering if the weather is starting to get cold enough that they can't survive the nights??? probably all the bait thats being put down for them they usually leave the site they ate the bait and go elsewhere to die. I have plenty of bait around my house and the bait stations have to be refilled every week and only found a few dead ones on my property the rest go off to die (probably to your garage ) Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1724May 07, 2011 5:56 pm BZaurora Did anyone have a Truenergy rep come knocking on your door today around 5pm? Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1725May 07, 2011 6:00 pm I have to say im so dissapointed in some of the Aurora residents. I can not believe how many people i have seen walking across Rockfield rock to dump there rubbish onto the paddocks across the road im disgusted oh and in broad daylight. I have seen 3 in last two days just casually walk across the road garbage bags in hand and drop them onto the grass. I would like to think most people here would like a nice new clean estate not rubbish dumped i really feel for the one house that is right in front of it all. Certainly not going to help the mouse situation. I am definately going to start following these people back to their houses and reporting them. If you are one of those rubbish dumping people be aware that if you are caught there is a big fine, and if you dont have enough room in your bin every week you can ring council and have a larger bin sent out for a small yearly fee. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1731May 09, 2011 10:19 am wokwon I asked Internode again and it looks like all hope is not lost; here is their response: Quote: Thank you for your recent email, We are currently still undergoing assessments with VicUrban in regards to supplying services. I have requested an update as to if we will still be going ahead with service offerings and will reply with an update as soon as I have one available. Bad form to quote myself but here is the update: Quote: Thank you for your patience whilst we investigated this matter for you. I am sorry to advise you that at this time Internode have decided not to engage in activities to provide services within Aurora estate. We may choose to participate in the future if conditions are ideal so please feel free to check our website regularly. Re: LYNDARUM / AURORA ESTATES: Epping, Victoria 1732May 09, 2011 10:38 am Getting the keys to our humble abode tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone who has moved in since the announcement of iiNet and iPrimus servicing the area, whether they have been successful in getting signed up and online? If so, how long does it take? Note the above question really applies for people stages 13 onwards. We are so excited. We wanted to make a couple more changes but the builder was a firm NO more other wise they were going to charge a ridiculous amount. So now we just have to sit back and watch. We too drive past every week and watch our neighbors houses go up in awe. Now it will be finally our turn. Still haven't had fibre pulled into our cabinet, although they have pulled it through the streets a few months ago. I'm assuming they'll start connecting houses in the earlier stages who've been waiting years before they get to ours. We haven't had any door-to-door salesmen from either company or anything in the letterbox from them either, so I think we'll still be waiting for a few more months. I noticed last weekend when I rode up to the empty block (stage 15) that the fibre pit in the footpath was open and the lid was missing outside our block. Hopefully that's them installing the fibre. Looks like I'll have to wait until fibre has been provisioned in my cabinet before I can start contacting ISPs (or do I have to wait until someone comes knocking on my door?) Thanks Stuey I was just thinking this weekend the houses are going up there in the first half of our stage. I am also pretty happy that the park up near O'Hearns road is finished.
