I don't seem to have the same level of influence over the trades as what Metricon did. Nonetheless, very happy with what has been done so far. Yes I'm finding I can't keep pace with Metricon, it's hard to battle on when everything happened so efficiently through the build. Concrete steps look lovely. How did you go sealing your own garage floor? Mr t is keen to do it. Re: Metricon Phoenix Adelaide - pics galore 1691Sep 15, 2015 8:40 pm Tribe7 Pool looks amazing, big fan. In that time we have had done externally the stormwater, aggregate concrete, pool, boundary fence and some plants. Not that much for four months. We get something done then no action for weeks waiting for the next trade. All hardscaping should be done by mid October. Sealing the garage floor is relatively simple. I used rust oleum epoxy shield. I am a real novice when it comes to handy work and I managed it. Today I erected a new shed and installed a turbo whirlybird on its roof. The pool filtration is in the shed and I wanted to keep the airflow moving in there so got a whirlybird. I need it to rain now to test the flashing and silicone. That's a pretty good effort in 4 months. Our front exposed agg driveway and path is in, alfresco and laundry pad is going in on Saturday. Pool quote tomorrow I think and that's as far as we have gotten. I'm really looking forward to doing the landscaping but time is the biggest issue. Fantastic you will be done by mid oct, just in time for summer. Your kiddies will love the pool. What kind of pool fencing are you going for? Oh good to hear the epoxy stuff was user friendly, hubby is really keen to do it. Wow that's a solid effort building a shed and doing all the silicone, smart idea to house it in the shed. Re: Metricon Phoenix Adelaide - pics galore 1693Sep 15, 2015 9:58 pm Wow how exciting. Good work with the shed Shambz ... Mega impressed Re: Metricon Phoenix Adelaide - pics galore 1694Sep 16, 2015 5:10 am Thanks for the kind words re the shed! It was a bit more difficult to construct than should have been. It came from Stratco as a flat pack. I was storing it flat on our garage floor. My wife forgot it was there and drove over it which means it was very hard to get the corners square when it came to build time. You sound very organised with what has happened to date. Your home looks lovely by the way. I have been watching the threads but not commenting much. Home and work life have been very busy so not much reflection time. Love the exposed aggregate concrete driveway and path's. A couple of new builds in our street have just had it put in. Got me thinking we might use it. I stopped and asked the concreter how much roughly per Mt2, and he told me around $90, with out site works - eg bobcat leveling. I thought that was a bit much but by the time you buy some nice pavers, then if you pay someone to lay them it's probably not to bad. Is that price in the ball park to what you were charged? It came by the bucket load. Kids made an ice snowman our lawn at our rental was completely whited out with hail. Hope the shed stood up well.
