Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Henley Homes 1601Jul 27, 2015 9:37 pm So here's what I now know. You have to pay to upgrade the height, not included in raised ceilings and you loose your free double glazing. The architrave-less windows are called plaster reveal. There is a cost to upgrade. We paid $181 extra for that increase in window. We had to increase our window due to estate requirement from 21x18 to 21x21. Re: Henley Homes 1603Jul 28, 2015 10:12 am I personally don't think this double glazed windows is a genuine promotion by Henley.. We had to still pay about $700-$800 for upgrading our Alfresco door due to energy requirements...I would have thought they cover all external doors and windows when they say double glazing but realised that's not the case Why should you need to pay separately for double glazed when you're already paying to increase the window heights Just doesn't sound right to me ! Got charged $211 for upgrade double glazing. Then changed again to two 09-21 timber with plaster reveal. That cost me an additional $1200. They did not remove the previous upgrade cost. So total upgrade now $1411 ooouch! I'm guessing some people have had better luck than others. Also it's not consistent and some times makes no sense. So in the end they never add up to 4k Re: Henley Homes 1614Jul 29, 2015 12:28 pm Hi all, I have just received my latest version of the tender and want to know if any1 has upgraded the privacy lock to suit Liana lever set..apparently the privacy lock for Liana is more expensive than Elena..initially we had chosen Elena lever set but changed to Liana.. They charge Liana $64 ea for privacy lock..is this correct..I would have thought both Liana and Elena is the same Re: Henley Homes 1615Jul 29, 2015 1:47 pm we have 4x liana in our contract for $256 so they must be $64 each Re: Henley Homes 1616Jul 29, 2015 4:14 pm Thanks Jess..that confirms the locks for Liana is more expensive than Elena Re: Henley Homes 1617Jul 29, 2015 5:33 pm For anyone who has selected the Manhattan laminate flooring range - ours is being laid at the moment. I heard that it has changed and I can confirm that the floor boards are now more textured, colouring is the same, but they have also made the edges bevelled so you notice the joins more. Will wait until it is complete to reserve my judgement but might be worth seeing a sample and if needed get in touch with your BC if you want to change it. I am not sure if they have the new samples at Cosham if anyone can enlighten me. We did our selections towards end of last year so I am assuming they have new samples there now. sassid ...building the Emporio with MainVue/Henley BLOG: http://thewaldorfproject.blogspot.com.au/ HOMEONE THREAD : https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75753 Re: Henley Homes 1618Jul 29, 2015 9:22 pm Henley Homes 1619Jul 29, 2015 11:10 pm Thanks for the pic, that looks like the new textured version (as I can see grooves at the joins where they are bevelled).
