If only M knew beforehand that your son has his own earthmoving equipment, you could have saved on on site costs. Our two year old is also obsessed with digger trucks. Im sick of watching digger trucks on Youtube!!! So pleased it's finally happening, gosh the savings would be sensational, if only I could keep him on task long enough to complete it. Hahhahaha Yeap we have that problem too, there seems to be an endless supply of machinery videos on YouTube to my horror. Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 165Apr 30, 2015 7:36 pm YAY!!! Congrats on the site start!!! You finally got there, and now you will need the moving truck in no time Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 166Apr 30, 2015 10:04 pm You're off to a great start! What a fantastic experience for your tribe to watch them start earthworks. I bet your 4 little foremen get even more excited as the build progresses. It would have been cool to watch the slab pour and I even thought about leaving our handprints on the concrete. But my SS forgot to tell us the pour was actually happening on the day! Now the fun begins. So exciting tribe ![]() Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 167May 01, 2015 12:38 am YAY!!! Congrats on the site start!!! (Kind of helped the excavator driver was waving to them) I remember reading on your thread that your ss didn't mention it, I had a site meeting on Tuesday and told him how keen the kids are to see the actual things happening, sure enough he sent me a txt to advise the cut was happening go check it out. (I already had the heads up from a lovely neighbour but I'm pleased he let me know) ohh that's a cool idea I might get the kids to do it in the garage. Love JLC's coin she placed in her slab. It's a really good idea to add a coin or hand print, we will defiantly add something. Hahaha $2 is the start of the spreadsheet decline, you will keep it in the black by outsourcing all the extras. I would hate to think how red and angry our spreadsheet would be if we included everything in the build for the sake of ease. Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 172May 01, 2015 2:23 pm MrBeeIs that yours or your neighbour who is cut down on the right? Is this looking from the road? Hi mr bee, the lot with the huge cut is our neighbour, he is a Metricon build too. Our lot is the one with the machinery on it. Yes this is looking in from the street. I was worried about being close to our neighbour but I don't think that's going to be a problem now as he is so low down, poor man might see a lot of feet ![]() Metricon, Gold Coast 173May 01, 2015 2:27 pm We went for a look this morning to see if our lot had turned into a slush pit and it's ok so far,
The lot next to us is another Metricon build and a porta potty has been delivered to his lot, I wonder if they will add one to ours? Common sense would say no one is sufficient for two builds side by side for the same company. Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 174May 01, 2015 2:29 pm We have 3 in a row with Plantation, all with separate fences and separate loos. Although, the one in the middle is a different SS. See what monday brings (no more damn rain would be good) Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 176May 01, 2015 7:17 pm Oh no look at your site. How long will this delay you now. Your cute little construction supervisor reminds me of my little one. although he is now not little but still loves the big machines. ![]() Re: Metricon - Housing the Tribe, Gold Coast 177May 01, 2015 8:13 pm Hooray Tribe, you're officially on the way, very happy for you Looks like a lot of rain down your way, ours also affected. The rain is supposed to be gone by tomorrow but Bom is showing we are getting the tail end of the rain now. Long range for cast gives us nice warm days so it should be dried out by hopefully Tuesday so they can start on the drainage. He is a nice age, everything is amazing and he is so inquisitive, I'll miss him when he goes to pre prep next year. How old are your kiddies livpal? Any news on your build?
