It also says the development would "evolve over decades" The article says plans are available to view on councils website, but I cannot find them Re: williams landing 1563Aug 02, 2011 11:37 am djkiwi blueseals Hmm newsletter sounds promising.. Im pretty sure im in one of the earlier stages of Ashcroft (think maybe 2 or 3... we bought at newhaven drive) .. just cant figure out which one now.. which could mean that theres copper probably already laid out there...just gotta keep my fingers crossed now and hope i get ADSL atleast when my house is built.. Hi blueseals We're on Mandrel Drive, across from Ashcroft Park (stage 2) and we have ADSL2+ and phone no probs with Telstra. It took a lot of back and forwarding, but we got connected as soon as we were in about 6 weeks ago. My sister is about 5 houses up and she had issues with trying to get connected with Telstra but is now all okay. Its seems it depends on who you speak to, we were always told we'd get it fine by the guy we spoke to but my sister was told different things each person she spoke to. Hi djkiwi, thanks for the info .. our chances definitely looking good.. guess will have to see about 6 months from now when weve moved out there..Always had issues with telstra setting up phone or adsl in the past.. so i guess thats a hurdle we will have to cross... Top end of Newhaven is stage 3 (we are also on Newhaven). Copper line is laid down this street and you should have no problem getting ADSL2+ Thanks Tornado, Guess we should be stage 3 then.. had a look at a website to check out which exchange our street falls in and it looks like ADSL2 is still available and its the laverton exchange .. synching at about 1.5 mbs .. so not too bad.. so kool.. cant wait for our house to start building and finally move when finsihed now.. Re: williams landing 1565Aug 02, 2011 1:14 pm Solid Gold I have just finished my rear landscaping and have roughly 20 bags of black mulch and 10 rolls (approximately 15 m2) of Kikuyu instant lawn to give away. If anyone wants them, please send me a PM. Update: The lawn and mulch have been taken. Thanks for all your enquiries, and good luck with your landscaping - it's back-breaking work!! I saw 2 houses with colourbond roofs and 1 house with stencilled concrete driveway.... I was under the impression that these were not allowed in WL. Any suggestions for a good Solar company and Electrician for household electrical work and antenna installation? I saw 2 houses with colourbond roofs and 1 house with stencilled concrete driveway.... I was under the impression that these were not allowed in WL. Colorbond has been allowed since day 1... I have a Colorbond roof! Stencilled concrete is not. If someone instals a stencilled concrete drive they will get a notice of non-compliance, and their landscaping wont be done (unless they stencil it after the fact!) I have also seen a plain concrete drive! Re: williams landing 1572Aug 05, 2011 5:23 pm apple88 just wondering if anybody is happy to share how much council rates they are paying in williams landing..just want to know an estimate for budget purposes..no addresses required...thanks! $372 per 1/4 Re: williams landing 1573Aug 06, 2011 8:39 pm SQ380 lakgar Just wondering if anyone knows whether the estate covenants have been changed... My 2c worth is to make everyone aware that any new road/crossing needs to be thought/planned carefully as traffic in and out of the estate will be crazy so planning/infrastructure needs to be properly delivered early to ensure access is free flowing. They were only sent to selected people. Our son got one but we didn't. He is registered for land but he also lives here with us. He sent the email onto me and it reads in part, "As a local resident we believe you are integral for us to achieve the right outcome, so you have been chosen to attend a focus group session to discuss". So I wouldn't expect everyone to get the invite. As long as they have a good cross section of residents I wouldn't be concerned. Hope this clears things up for you.
