I was told by few of my friends that they generally finish in 4-5 months..
Is that true?
Best case scenario!

I was told by few of my friends that they generally finish in 4-5 months.. Is that true? Our contract allows 26 weeks (or 6 months) for a single storey build with Eden Brae. I’m hoping that is worst case scenario! To put things in perspective, our construction started in September, and we are due to be in lock up by November sometime (roof, bricks, windows and doors fitted). Taking into account the Christmas shutdown period of 3 weeks, we hope to be moving in by late February. Fingers crossed! Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 14883Oct 17, 2017 8:51 pm Hi all, Due to a shortage of bricklayers at the moment, our SS informed us that our roof tiles will be laid first and then our bricks a couple of weeks later. I can see in our progress payment schedule, in our contract, that there’s 20% due once bricklaying is complete, but it says *no roof tiles laid* next to it. For anyone that has had their tiles laid and then bricks later, do you know how this gets invoiced? Will we be invoiced once the roof is fitted, or once both the roof and bricks are complete? Is that true? they told me about 4-5 months for single story. my friends house had the same time frame. i would allow for 6 months if raining though. apparently its going to be a very wet summer! Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 14888Oct 20, 2017 12:45 pm Just a warning to anyone doing KDR. We put in our form to abolish the gas line and meter 4 months ago. Job was supposed to be done by Monday, but Energy Australia failed to process the application. Only found out as I rang to find out when it would be done, and the said 'oh, the job hasn't been actioned yet'. They have since raised the job, but their contractors (Jemena) are now saying it will be anywhere up to 30 days. This will put us in default with the demo crew at a cost of about $1200 and could potentially put us in a position of defaulting on our contract with EB at a cost of ???$$$. Give yourself a BIG buffer when organising this stuff! Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 14889Oct 20, 2017 1:27 pm Hello Guys, Abbey Shutters and Blinds - How long does it take for them to install after Check & Measure is complete? i.e., Do they schedule the install 4 weeks after check & measure? for example. We haven’t brought this up with our site supervisor yet but hoping to meet with him this Thursday to address this and a bunch of other imperfections. Hi bugbos Did they fix the tiling issue for you? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 14900Oct 22, 2017 5:42 pm aas Initially last Thursday, but we decline and schedule it for this Wednesday. We went to check over the weekend and there are still a lot of thing that are undone. I'm moving the PCI next week. Hi aas How did your PCI go? Was there any items undone at the time of your PCI? If so, please can you share the acceptable list which can be pending for PCI? I built with EB back on 2009.
